In the case of Phantom changing his vote, I think in this context it should be forgiven because he changed it back to what it originally was before seeing the invalid vote. There's two completely different scenarios here and they should be looked at differently:

 

1) Person votes A, but changes their mind and votes B instead. This should not be allowed.

2) Person votes A, but is later required to change their vote to B for it to remain valid; however, it turns out the reason they changed their vote was in itself invalid, and as such they change their vote back to A as originally intended. This is what happened here, and in my opinion, is correct. That being said, ikaR3CON is leading this game, so in the end it's his choice to make.

 

Sidenote: the two removed posts literally only contain "edit: nevermind," so you aren't missing any context that you would have otherwise had if they had not been removed.

Not taking it personal, I just don't think it's fair to Phantom. If Verstappen never voted, Phantom down votes benefactor and kills it. He only changed his vote because verstappen's vote registered seconds ahead of his. So when Verstapoen's vote was nullified, I just think it should be treated like that vote never happened. Otherwise it's like Phantom is penalized for Verstapoen's mistake.

Original intentions or not. Verstappen's mistake cost Phantom_Aviator the opportunity to eliminate Benefactor. This is true, but unfortunate.

 

The opportunity does not somehow resurface just because of a mistake. It's over. The vote's been cast.

Verstappen's vote shouldn't have been there in the first place. Yes. This is true. But you can't apply hindsight to a vote and change it after it's been cast. It's too late.

 

So I still maintain everything I said in my earlier message - #1275

Posts have been deleted, too much time has passed - the game carried on anyway - and there's too much doubt in the situation, so as I said earlier, the scores will carry on unchanged.

If I remember right ford was in some hot water for their SUVs back in the late 80's and on til the end of the 90's for flipping over and killing a few people. Ford had a tire deal with Firestone at the time and took them to court for their tires causing the malfunction and not the very top-heavy vehicles ford made at the time. There was a bit more underhanded blows from Ford, but that's the just of what I know.

I love the Mustang and find the 302 V8 to still be a marvelous engine though.
