I don't know what you mean by dead, but a lot of players still play it. There are modders here and there, and it no longer receives updates, but that's it.

 

It honestly looks to me like you CG guys want LG to shut down or something, for whatever reason.

That would make me happy, though I would never see it on my X1.

I'm probably one of the least anti-last gen guys you can find. When the news first came that last gen was being ditched, I was one of the people kicking up a storm and saying how sh*tty it was of them.

 

But what's done is done.

 

Also, the jets do actually have a much longer range on their cannons on current gen. Shame the Savage still has the old gen range for whatever reason, but the jets don't.

I still think they should have gotten the last Christmas DLC as a "farewell". It's Christmas for f*cks sake, be nice to the LG users who can't upgrade. Not much was in it anyways so it's not like it'd blow up the LG consoles

I agree with the posts above that realistically state that LG does not have to die. Some of these CG updates would not overload the LG consoles. Rockstar already proved that the incredible masterpiece GTAV world, and GTA0 shenanigans, can run well enough on LG.

 

So really, LG is only "dead" in the sense that Rockstar doesn't feel like devoting resources to doing updates, even though a lot of them are possible.

 

I still have my two characters on LG with plenty of hours played and plenty of earned GTA$$, so LG is not dead to me. And furthermore, as some said above, I don't have much interest at all in the CG-exclusive DLC so far.

"we will no longer be supporting ps3/xbox360 to make room for animals and the casino. we are also dropping gta online support due to all of the modded accounts carried over from last gen to next. if you wish to keepl playing gta online, you will have to upgrade to next gen."

Im still on LG (by choice) and 1 thing I would appreciate is a connection stabilization update. I wish they would remove some unused things to make it less choppy...Off topic I don't understand why "some" CG players do nothing but run into LG threads just bad mouth LG like its hurting them in some way?

My list would be:

 

All Ill Gotten Gains Items and Money spent refunded due to the fact they take up space and most of them aren't even worth it on LG

The vast majority of the player base is not a member of GTA forums. Had they put it on the loading screens there would have been a lot fewer complaints.
