What would want as a final offering from R* for the many last gen players still online? Me - wipe all the ******* cheater scores from leader boards, the ones we all know are beyond belief.

It wouldn't make sense to wipe them for last gen as they'd immediately be taken again by equally preposterous times/scores.

 

Last time I played PS3 it was horrendously bad, with pop-ins all over the place (and I'm talking about cut-scenes so nothing to do with lag). It was just horrific. The best thing they could do for last gen players is offer them 50% off the new gen version, for if they switch at some point.

True, but they may as well implement a system that automatically blacklists lap times far outside theoretical possibility (i.e. anything under 15 sec on Criminal Records). That won't get rid of every cheat, but it will clean the leaderboards up a bit. As of now, having 0.xx sec times dominate the top 100+ spots on nearly every race makes global leaderboards effectively useless.

 

OT, I'd like the ability to remove/customize free roam job markers like in CG.

That's because it's a problem with the system than with the game. You can't add anymore to gta as the game is maxed out.

Well, there are many times where I shoot a jet with my cannons, only for it to explode right on their jet, and do nothing. I think that's more of a lag issue, but who knows.

If cheaters lead the leaderboard it's for a reason, I say let them own the top scores to show R* just how bad a job they did at making a competitive online game. It might help them come to the realization that there is no way around building an online game for dedicated servers with decent anti-cheats, otherwise it's pointless to even have a leaderboard IMO.

Exactly, thats what i am referring to, its not lag, its a bug related to speed, they also nerfed the range of the cannon on jets on last gen, It really makes you an easy target for rpgs, you have less chance to be taken down on next gen because you dont have to get close to your target

Yes, I agree, instead of trying to salvage last gen by equalizing the leaderboard, Rockstar should do just the opposite:

 

Open the Online cheats up to everyone, so we can have some crazy, chaotic fun, ped riots, burning fields and forests, infinite money, buy everything, stunt jumps across the length of the map, max every car and weapon, every gun shoots rockets, and allow billion dollar bounties again. Those were the funnest times ever.

 

Seriously, since last gen are now second class citizens, we should get the crazy fun, for compensation.

We've been asking for the leaderboards to be cleared since at least October 3rd 2013.

It's never going to happen. Among other reasons, they won't do anything to prevent new fake-times to be added, so it will only improve things for a few hours, at most.

If you want the Racing Blonde tat, you just have to hope for another glitch (like most people got them with) or pounce on any new race and get a fast time before someone else manages to do ten 6-mile laps on a bicycle in 0.41 seconds

if you have already moved to newgen, dont get why you worry about whatever happen to lastgen.

A lot of people still play LG, and LG isn't doing anything to drag CG/PC down. I mean, LG doesn't even get updates any more, only CG/PC do. Only Rockstar decides when they want to shut down the servers for LG, but that won't happen for quite some time. Look at IV for example; it's been 8 years, and has been overrun by modders, but the servers are still up and running, so don't expect LG to just instantly fade away. Remember, it's the same game, just different platform.
