Ha ha, i didn't think people were old enough to remember him. I just designed a mountain side motorcycle race called "How Evel Knievel died" and a kid who joined asked me, who is that?

Looks like I'll be getting back into GTAO as usual then. The lack of actual updates and communication from R* this time around made me stop playing as much as I do, but I suppose they only give out info when there's a substantial amount to give.

 

Glad to know they aren't going 100% with the Adversary and spoon feed updates.

 

Many people on here have been saying something big was coming. There was non specific leaks and the hint that Rock Star gave us about a week and a half ago. The impatient folk on here chose not to hear it.

They used the word warehouse. We went through this last time when Rock Star said "stilt houses" and people chose to read it as "mansions."

 

Ascribe the ordinary meaning of the words that they use and you can manage your fake rage.

 

That photo of the group planning looks a bit posh for a warehouse i could be completely wrong but im happy with this news regardless

 

real masions like the playboy mansion are just not possible to own personally with the existent game mechanics because of their connected outside property (front-/back yards, pool, drive way, etc.).

you can only own "inside properties" because these are technically separated from the commonly shared outside world.

 

 

Those outside areas could be part of the "inside area" if r* wanted to make them.

 

Based on the trend they've set for owned properties I doubt it. I sent in suggestions about expanding on VIP and acquiring properties like safe houses and mansions.

I sent them a LOT of ideas but heres a bit from what I sent them:

 

Entrepreneur can pay a security deposit of 10 mil to 30 mil to rent out 1 of the many different mansions for the duration of their timer(VIP timer) and serves as their organizations headquarters. Attackers have to play a slight mini game to crack their safe while the entrepreneur and his staff defend it.

My guess would be the week of 16th. With this newswire item, if they were dropping this week, I think they'd have said so.

 

Plus, word has it from community scuttlebutt, the host on the R* official stream just recently said the next streaming event is on the 20th.

 

That points to the week of the 16th.

I literally exploded from the hype of this update, it's unreal but I hope everyone's crew ready! This is the update we been waiting for fellas, game changer.

 

If you had literally exploded, you would be scattered in bits on your key board and unable to type anything.

 

 

I have a few reservations, but it's the best news in months for GTA:O, so I welcome it and hope it'll be a good overall DLC.

Would be a real treat if we could finally get some of those sweet classic Muscle car rims on a Dukes if we can customize their mascot car.

I highly agree with you Zan, it would be excellent if Rockstar give us those options, speaking of "new vehicles" from the R* Newswire, i'm just wondering what those might be?

OT: Rockstar really shocked and impressed with this update, I'm so excited for the business manger/warehouse/headquarters features. I hope it will offer contact type missions that involves more then 4 or 6 man groups because we want bigger team based missions involving a large group of ourselves (like 6-10 man squad) vs enemy NPCS.

Everyone on this forum has been waiting for something, anything, just any sort of real update, so terrific news all round. And anything that expands on the VIP mode is a big deal - my favourite gaming mode. And it's great to see Rockstar actually "talking" to us for a change - just hope it meets our expectations.

 

To remain the leader, Rockstar need to BE the leader and give us more quality updates than e.g. Bethesda who have given us three updates this year (Harbor round the corner) for Fallout 4, plus a brand new game, DOOM.

I feel like some of the people who complain about the "silly" stunt races and obstacles are the same people who played on SAMP stunt servers but because it's on GTA V they hate it. I just hope we get a NRG and clothing we can actually purchase.

This looks like some cool new content. But I'm afraid it's just not enough to bring back the core of the group I play with. The stunt stuff sounds great, but it'll be limited to mostly custom races from the sounds of it. The VIP stuff sounds like it could be fun, but it sounds like it will only really work in Public freeroam lobbies, which are just not an option in the PC version of the game due to the uncontrollable amount of modders/cheaters. It's disappointing that Rockstar has just completely given up on trying to stop the blatant cheating in this game. It's a complete disaster on PC.

 

 

Anyway, still holding out hope that we get an announcement for either a Casino or Liberty City expansion at E3. If the content Rockstar announced is their only planned DLC for the rest of the year, than it's pretty safe to assume that the support for this game is dwindling.
