I was bored as crap before I found the right crew, and we're having a blast. If you're playing alone then yes, it's going to get boring fast because all you're doing is messing around. I am as ready as anyone for new DLC, but I'm still having fun on the game with my friends.

On LG i wouldn't even play MP since i was alone, but on CG i play with a friend and it feels way better, but still, this game needs new stuff.

I think it's a little unfair to compare WOW with this though. WOW has a lot to work with, they don't really have to stay within a mild sense of reality like GTA does, so the fact that they've gone 2+ years with only doing fantasy stuff like "Hunt the Beast" freeroam event and the Slasher adversary modes says a lot (and those were only added recently!).

 

In WOW you have tons of fantasy and fictional literature, and folklore to work with. I can't think of any other game that released free DLC's more than a year after the game's initial release, and I really can't think of any game that's released so many different DLC's for one single game, even games that spanned 2 console generations. Yeah most of the DLC's might be stuff like cars, clothes, houses, and guns, but we did get stuff like the E&OC's, we got heists, they did add new contact missions at one point as well, they added free roam events, and they're working on adding more to the E&OC's update.

 

I dunno, i get why some people are frustrated with R*, i might find it a little silly to be, but to each their own. Personally I was happy enough with all the stuff they added that I bought the game for PS3 and PS4 and I'm still happy with it, I still come back to it when I'm done with other games like Just Cause 3. Again, to each their own.

I have a feeling R* is taking all the good ideas and saving them for GTAVI. No one get your hopes up.

VI is likely three or more years away. Takes time to build a game like that.

 

GTA VI will most likely not be on par with the other GTA games since the main guy behind SA, IV and V is now gone, and that's probably gonna cause a delay of at least another year.

well, if they do not give at all about their player base they woudnt give updates, since if they truely did not, they woud not give about their buisness anymore

though i agree on the statement that rockstar shoud think more about some desicions they have made regarding this game, a good buisness is not meant to be charity.

companies can not afford such things...and if one plans to do charity it also shoud serve purpose as a promotion stunt.

Couldn't agree more. Find the right crew/partners/friends and you'll have plenty of fun.

You might eventually get bored of course but that's our nature, not the game's fault.

Not saying the game's perfect but it's highly entertaining when played with a few people you get on with.

 

Having said that, I'm looking forward to the update!

i would say june 10th like last year's summer updates. however those came that late because rockstar wanted to give us time to complete all the heists and challenges and wanted a break from updates after completing heists. but this year? i don't know what's taking them so long to bring in NEW stuff.

Well, they are interested in their players' money, not about them specifically. Now, I'm not saying this is any different from other companies, just... Don't think they are releasing DLCs simply because they like us (Like some people on these Forums seemingly believe).

Wait, coming weeks and months was 2 weeks ago, right?

2 weeks and 1 day since they announced new updates coming soon, and 2 months and 9 days since the last DLC dropped (March 15). What does "soon" mean?, well, whatever they see fit, that's why they said "soon" and not a specific date.

 

The time span between the last DLC drop and now is only beaten by the time span between Heists DLC and Ill Gotten Gains Pt.1, which was exactly 3 months (March 10th to June 10th). Do i need to mention that Lowriders Classics DLC is no way near the Heists DLC when it comes to... well, anything, you can't compare them at all.
