What do the gta youtubers have to do with it? The video in question was straight audio from the game files. iirc, the video originated from someone on these forums, got picked up by someone else on neogaf, and then eurogamer ran an article with a link to said video. This was long before the gta youtubers started referencing it and added their own twist on facts to get views/likes/subscribers. The fact is Rockstar had the VAs for Lester and Martin record dialogue saying to check out the new Casino that opened, and added it to the game post release. Why add dialogue in an update for something that was cut? The must have had some intention to use it. Much like how they added the animations for Heists and code fir the Hydra in the Flight School Update.

 

Oh, and that same audio leak featured Martin saying to invest in buisnesses, investing money into buying/selling merchandise and buying merchandise in bulk....

 

And come to think if it, I think the Flight School animations contained some animations not used in heists. Primarily animations for an npc sitting at a computer. I think they were called lost_boss_(insert animation name) That could be the animations for the rumored HQ assistant, if they weren't used in heists. (I don't recall seeing an npc using those animations during the heists, but if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me.)

I'm still thinking they'll do an announcement/simultaneous release during E3, likely after building hype for future games. Hypothetically they could announce a new Red Dead, Agent, GTA V dlc, GTA:Online 2016 updates etc and then finish it off by announcing the new update for GTA:Online going live right after.

I just want to change my character's appearance again. I hope one of the upcoming updates adds the ability to go back and change your character. I would just delete and start again, but my charcter is level 52.

There's a glitch to edit appearance, get yer second character to level 6, select them, when it asks to eedit their apperance disconnect from the internet, then sign back in, select yer first character an it will ask if you wanna edit apperance.

I'd like to believe you're right but there are a few probs... 1)no mention of that thus far and 2)it will be too late. I'm down to having played the game a couple hours in the last week from an average around 30 a month or so ago. That's because my friends all quit and I can only solo for a bit before it's too boring. Death is not reversible and this game is on life support. Waiting a full month will be the death blow. Yeah, some people would come back, but maybe about 40-50%, if that, of the people who said they're officially done.

the glitch from last year still works. (at least for me)

 

 

if you want to do it ill post the steps

1) Make a new character in the free slot.

2) Skip tutorial.

3) Get to level 6 on that new character. Helps if you have someone to invite you to jobs, or in a busy lobby.

4) When you are level 6, go to "Swap Character" and select the level 6 character again.

5) When you are asked if you want to change your characters appearance, disconnect the ethernet cable.

6) After you have been forced back into GTA Story Mode, then reconnect your cable or PSN/Xbox Live.

7) Finally, head over to Online, then select "Choose Character" and select your main character.

This wasn't always the case though. As much as i do love it, this only started happening and then devolving to this extent, when R* decided to dedicate their entire company to the online aspect of the game.

 

Yes, some course correction and adjustments are needed, but this is R*, they got this (hopefully...).
