Seriously, what the actual f*ck is this sh*t. I stand by my statement in another thread that without The Benz, Rockstar have gone downhill.

Well, we did get the really odd and out of place "Beast" freemode event. I think it's nice that we are getting something different, and I think this could be fun. If not the races, the new cars and clothes could be good.

 

I'm honestly confused why this tube track display is such a problem? People get hype for Donks.., but are upset when Rockstar takes a second to allow us to be incredibly creative, and expand on the race field where everyone desires upgrades in sport to super style cars? Do you not think this could be a small foundation to some serious race inspired DLC's in the future? You don't have to use the props for your races, and I completely understand those who say "f*ck this sh*t" when it comes to the crazy Corkscrew/wallride/loop races. Some of those took some serious patience to figure out how to run smoothly. Half my crew will absolutely refuse to participate when we do a night of hotwheels inspired tracks. I personally love that style of Speed Racer Mach 5 Hot Wheels, but also enjoy the real GP/Autocross. I'm actually really excited to see how all of it unfolds. The first DLC since....... Says enough. I am a little confused on the Vip'sh content. When it comes to your Warehouse/Safehouse/HQ. Is that going to strictly be under VIP registration? Or will that also be extended to your personal Crew? Are these pickups/sales/?? going to be "Heist" style missions? Could this mean a update in armored/military warefare vehicles (An armored Brawler would be saweeeet!)? I personally am really excited to see these next few updates. Way better than recycled dlc's and shat adversary modes. Oh and barely used cars outside car shows..

 

This, it's not like this more realistic (Saying that in a vauge sense of the term because GTA's Driving physics are far from, but I do get what people mean by that, no jump fest races, most of which yeah are sh*t so I'm with them there, but this update will hopefully bring good ones) races are going anywhere, they still exist.

 

Hell I'm just glad this just isn't more lowriders, I get why some may not be that excited by it, but come on, even something that doesn't tickle your fancy is better than just more adversary modes and silence. Plus between the two updates announced seems like there's something for everyone. Well but bikers still. (Unless we get some stunt bike stuff but I'm sure that's not what they wanted)

I've been following both and literally watched people post the exact same stuff in both topics, they're discussing the same things, and this kind of is the whole point to the DLC thread, so why have both?

Because this thread explains the newswire post from Rockstar and also we need a new thread for this, also why not have both?

Yet the whole point of the other thread is to talk about the "Next DLC", which would include discussion, explanation and speculation of the Newswire post, and like icantthinkofonew said, it's confusing, and a nuisance, having to follow two threads for one topic.

One thread discussing what we know and one discussing what we don't (which is also a cumulative discussion spanning multiple DLCs). Not too sure what's so confusing about it.

Hell, you can buy a modded account for $30 and have $980,000,000.00 for life. Players will be bored with this update 3 days after it comes out. Btw, when is the actual release date?

Pay close attention to release dates, notice how they all surround holidays? It's like bonuses in the wallets of Rockstar for releasing mediocre sh*t knowing some dumb ass kid is going to waste money on a shark card to customize a mini van at Bennys. The servers are still a joke with connection issues and all they keep feeding you is outrageously over priced items. SMMFH

You do realize that theres nothing wrong with the idea of holiday gimmicks. Take the opportunities for what they are. No ones holding a gun to your head making you buy stuff you don't like. Everything that's offered can be acquired without spending real money, so it's not like we're given an ultimatum. R* has a wide variety of audiences to cater too. Not every update is meant to please everyone. I don't like lowriders at all, but I appreciated the fact that content was being added and I've had a bit of fi with them on occasion when I was bored.

I think there are two reasons as to why Rockstar have come up with the Stunt Update.

1. There has been a very big trend in custom made races involving props (Containers) as race tracks. (Windmill races and Tornado Climbs and so on). plus almost everyone likes races.
   
2. Rockstar have been playing Trackmania Turbo at the office, I know.

Wikipedia or GTAwiki isn't really my number one source for information, since information can be changed easily. But, if that is correct, I don't think it cancels the chance of the arena being added. Rockstar always love to bring back "cut content". We shall wait and see, nonetheless my expectations are low for now.

There is an arena in the files. I've seen the collision before. But not sure about the model. I've also heard audio regarding the arena where you get a call telling you about it. It was a while ago. I forget if it was Martin or Lester calling.

 

But like I said, if they do add the arena, I hope the interior itself is empty, and the obstacles are props placed in there. Hopefully that will allow for them to create different courses, and maybe let us create some in the creator. If not us, at least it could be done via mod menus that way.

 

Yes. It was audio files from both Lester and Martin, notifying the GTAO character about a new arena opening up in Los Santos. Like mentioned before, the arena if done is highly likely to be loaded In like the new Apartment Interiors, and wouldn't require much difficulty.

Whether the interior could be empty or not is anyone's guess. judging from the quote in the spoiler, that could be possible. but of course that is if the Arena even comes to GTA online.

 

 

The audio about the Indoor Dirt Track sounds like Dom. For anyone who hasn't listened to the leaked dialogue from 2013 here it is:

 

 

 

If you notice, a lot of Martin's dialogue is lining up with the finance and felony update. I still think all of this "cut" content was never cut content, but was content they had panned to release post heists in 2014. The issues with heists unfortunately sat back all of their other big plans for GTA:Online, but now we're finally starting to see them come to fruition. Otherwise, why add audio files for cut content in the Beach Bum update if there was never a plan to utilize it in a future update? Hopefully this year is the start of them finally releasing all of the other big ideas they had planned back in 2013. Maybe we'll get the Indoor Dirt Track and Casino after all....

 

I'm interested to know what the camera upgrades are and the spying Lester keeps talking about.

I think we already recieved those things, minus the dialogue. The 2013 Holiday Gifts added new filters for Snapmatic, which could have been the camera upgrade. As for spying on other players, The High Life Update added the ability to spectate players, without using the TV. (So long as the setting was enabled for that player.)That makes sense, I was hoping it was something new.

That sentence alone suggest that there are going to be a lot of props available regarding Vehicles and what every you want can be made. Whether that is Demolition derbys, Monster truck events, The 24hrs Le Man, Wall rides or even the egg and spoon race.

If they add proper curb tile thing (dont know how to say it but the thing inside corners on track) I would be a happy man. Some of my track would be better with these.

Or maybe a You can walk in then, you can either pick the door that leads to spectator mode or participation. Then you character is shown going in then appears the lobby list.

So here's my theory about how it will all work:

• End of May (around the 24th maybe?) - Finance and Felony Update (or whatever it will actually be called, but it's probably the real name).

I think it's the real name. In the french version of the post, it's even more obvious.

 

I'm pretty confident about the 17th, maybe the community disappointment was getting too high so R* felt that giving us some 'anti-pasti' would have cool down the heat for the week (and I think they succeed).

 

Last time that happened we got the Furore GT, the Hakuchou and the Innovation, none of which had any visual customizations, that was a lame update, hope they don't f*ck up this time

I'm almost certain it will just be 12 safe houses around the city (biker hangout most likely one of them) with no new interiors or anything, it'll just be a popup saying there's some drugs to buy at X location, you buy them then it alerts everyone else so they can try to kill you and steal your drugs before you drive it into the little marker in your safehouse area and that's it.

To be fair, I expect it to be a bit like the current vip work, but a bit more in depth. The people here expecting it to be a mix between heist and vip work might get dissapointed. I really love VIP work so i'll probably enjoy it whatever it is

Would be cool if the events and interior of the arena changed with a schedule like in the past. Although I don't remember monster truck events in the past. I remember Hotring, whatever the demo derby was, Trials, MX racing... some kind of monster truck event would be a cool addition, and a reason to use the Marshall and Liberator.

I also like the idea someone mentioned of being able to spectate in the stands.
