I first thought the next update was going to be next week, on the 17th, but it most likely won't be.

 

I'm going to stick with the 17th for now. They said stay tuned for more info regarding the updates yesterday. So, I'm guessing that is tomorrow.

Well it's almost certainly going to be on a Tuesday in May, for something, so it's not hard to pick one of the 17th, 24th or 31st. Just like to know if that's an educated or wild-ass guess.

I must say, there is a lot more negativity than what I expected about the new updates announced. And yeah, I know this is GTA Online we're talking about, where people complain no matter what, but damn...

 

I'm mostly looking forward to the stunt update, especially the new vehicles and the props. I felt like we needed new props for a while and now were finally getting some. As for the E&OC sequel, or successor, I never got into the VIP stuff yet, but I know people wanted some drug-dealing of some sort, and it's nice to see people get that wish. Also I'm looking forward to whatever vehicles come with that update too.

People are kinda not trying to get hyped out now after what happened the past months...few people liked how the last 3 lowriders got released and the adversary modes didnt make it all much better

That Doesn't really matter much. The Be my Valentines update was release during an event if IIRC. I think info is still likely. Are you forgetting that we got information about these future updates during an event week?

 

R* recently stated that they will be doing more event weeks inbetween updates, so judging by that common theory (nothing happens during an event week) we most likely won't receive info ever again.

 

The event would have been technically over by Thursday or Friday. We shall wait and see. If it is May 24th, I think the wait would have been too long and unnecessary.

Last time that happened we got the Furore GT, the Hakuchou and the Innovation, none of which had any visual customizations, that was a lame update, hope they don't f*ck up this time

yes this is correct,i have been following the leaks in the past months or so and they always seems to tease together - love the way its done.

Yep you are right, just checked it and in english it seem like a normal sentence with emphasis on some words, but in French the sentence doesnt make sense, it only makes sense if you considered it as a title.

There's about two months between major updates for a long time now.

 

 

Remember the January 2016 Update that was released without R* even announcing it or giving out details before the release, along with The I'm Not a Hipster Update? Their latest update may be released without warning or letting us know so this could be our fourth, surprising update, so we might expect the unexpected.

In the french version of the newswire, it also specify that the stunt DLC will not just be for cars. I will do a basic translation for you guys, I know my translation sucks, but here it is: People crazy about steering wheel, handlebar and Other will be satisfied in a new update that will complete the wild world of races and stunts by adding more creativity and fun.

 

So it might suggest that its not all about cars, so we might get new motorcycle, maybe new boat, helicopter and plane because it says (and other). Also it talk about races and stunts like they are two different things. Not too sure about all that, but it sounds good.

I just hope those HQ's and warehouses aren't exclusive to VIP organizations, otherwise this update will be useless for me since I don't care about stunt races and I never participate in those VIP events/jobs. Hopefully we get plenty of new interesting vehicles. "Finance and felony" does sound like it could hold some nice wheels.

as I'm really confident Rockstar is smart but in others news

 

Who else thinks Heists - Mission Music 2 would be a great song to play while you deliver contraband to your warehouse

 

I dream of some random noobs attacking you as they are notified of your VIP Work and this just starts to play and at the end of it you hear maybe dialogue (hoping they'll ad dialogue) cause maybe the new number is a new character and they'll help us run contraband

They'll be like YES We're safe now bring the goods in and we'll find a buyer...

Hostile takeover is still PvP unless you play in an Invite Only.

 

Evidently, wanting crew based content, more co-op missions and maybe a cheeky map extension is a bad thing.....

Stunts Update in Early July before the 4th of July

and I'm praying for Heists Update Part 2 May 2017 and news about Heists Update Part 2 December 2016 or January 2017 and that Heists Part 2 would be the big update of 2017

If they're smart they'll do more Heists because it would be a lot of players added because the first heists boomed the servers for 3 days and I know people who will come back and play more actively if Heists Pt. 2 comes

all they have to do is add overpriced vehicles from the heists that you unlock and thats shark card money right there!

It will certainly generate a lot of revenue if they make more heists

Wikipedia or GTAwiki isn't really my number one source for information, since information can be changed easily. But, if that is correct, I don't think it cancels the chance of the arena being added. Rockstar always love to bring back "cut content". We shall wait and see, nonetheless my expectations are low for now.

There is an arena in the files. I've seen the collision before. But not sure about the model. I've also heard audio regarding the arena where you get a call telling you about it. It was a while ago. I forget if it was Martin or Lester calling.

 

But like I said, if they do add the arena, I hope the interior itself is empty, and the obstacles are props placed in there. Hopefully that will allow for them to create different courses, and maybe let us create some in the creator. If not us, at least it could be done via mod menus that way.

 

Yes. It was audio files from both Lester and Martin, notifying the GTAO character about a new arena opening up in Los Santos. Like mentioned before, the arena if done is highly likely to be loaded In like the new Apartment Interiors, and wouldn't require much difficulty.

 

In that article on the newswire it mentioned that new props will be available

 

 

and the inspired Creator scene will be getting a vast new set of props, for an evolution of stunting, racing and trials-style creations, and other gameplay possibilities that will surely defy imagination.

 

 

Whether the interior could be empty or not is anyone's guess. judging from the quote in the spoiler, that could be possible. but of course that is if the Arena even comes to GTA online.

 

 

The audio about the Indoor Dirt Track sounds like Dom. For anyone who hasn't listened to the leaked dialogue from 2013 here it is:

 

 

 

If you notice, a lot of Martin's dialogue is lining up with the finance and felony update. I still think all of this "cut" content was never cut content, but was content they had panned to release post heists in 2014. The issues with heists unfortunately sat back all of their other big plans for GTA:Online, but now we're finally starting to see them come to fruition. Otherwise, why add audio files for cut content in the Beach Bum update if there was never a plan to utilize it in a future update? Hopefully this year is the start of them finally releasing all of the other big ideas they had planned back in 2013. Maybe we'll get the Indoor Dirt Track and Casino after all....

 

I'm interested to know what the camera upgrades are and the spying Lester keeps talking about.

I think we already recieved those things, minus the dialogue. The 2013 Holiday Gifts added new filters for Snapmatic, which could have been the camera upgrade. As for spying on other players, The High Life Update added the ability to spectate players, without using the TV. (So long as the setting was enabled for that player.)

Seriously, what the actual f*ck is this sh*t. I stand by my statement in another thread that without The Benz, Rockstar have gone downhill.

Well, we did get the really odd and out of place "Beast" freemode event. I think it's nice that we are getting something different, and I think this could be fun. If not the races, the new cars and clothes could be good.

 

I'm honestly confused why this tube track display is such a problem? People get hype for Donks.., but are upset when Rockstar takes a second to allow us to be incredibly creative, and expand on the race field where everyone desires upgrades in sport to super style cars? Do you not think this could be a small foundation to some serious race inspired DLC's in the future? You don't have to use the props for your races, and I completely understand those who say "f*ck this sh*t" when it comes to the crazy Corkscrew/wallride/loop races. Some of those took some serious patience to figure out how to run smoothly. Half my crew will absolutely refuse to participate when we do a night of hotwheels inspired tracks. I personally love that style of Speed Racer Mach 5 Hot Wheels, but also enjoy the real GP/Autocross. I'm actually really excited to see how all of it unfolds. The first DLC since....... Says enough. I am a little confused on the Vip'sh content. When it comes to your Warehouse/Safehouse/HQ. Is that going to strictly be under VIP registration? Or will that also be extended to your personal Crew? Are these pickups/sales/?? going to be "Heist" style missions? Could this mean a update in armored/military warefare vehicles (An armored Brawler would be saweeeet!)? I personally am really excited to see these next few updates. Way better than recycled dlc's and shat adversary modes. Oh and barely used cars outside car shows..This post made me realise that a bunch of Speed Racer inspired cars would be perfect for the stunting update. I can already imagine the description for the Mach V pointing out how its trident front end can spear spectators.
