What's the most accurately done car?

What's the most realistically modeled car? One with properly curved pillars, good proportions and of corse with a good level of detail?

There's tons of cars where it's obvious what they're meant to represent, but oddly enough, I think the Emperor is actually the most accurate-looking car.

Of course, it's still slightly edited from the real car's design, but it's way closer to the real thing than most other cars in the game. Other than the slightly re-arranged headlights and park lights, it's pretty dead-on.

Albany Emperor:

1978 Cadillac Sedan Deville:

The back's actually closer than the front...and it's just based on that one car. Not a mishmash like most of the others.

Yet the game version has unrealistically straight window pillars if you look close

It does, but it was made in 2008 and not upgraded when they brought it over to V.

I guess at the time they figured they could save a few polys by not doing the subtle curvature of the roof pillars.

It's not perfect, but it's a fair bit above average for GTA IV / V cars. I can't think of one off the top of my head that's that close in terms of proportions AND design likeness to the real life counterpart.

The main thing to note, like I said before, is that it's based on one car. 99% of the other vehicles, even though they might be higher quality models, are always a mix of two or more vehicles. (and even then, still edited more than they probably need to be) It's extremely uncommon in that sense.

The T20, undoubtedly:

I can never shut up about this thing, it just enthralls me. When I first drove it - when I first gave it an in-depth look at night under a well-lit garage - I knew it was one of those cars. You know what I'm talking about.

Think Sentinel (IV). Feltzer (IV). Schafter (all of them). Carbonizzare. Et cetera. There are just those select few cars where Rockstar took clear inspiration from something awesome and nailed it while adding their own twist without ruining it.

How do I articulate this? The T20 is just perfect in that regard. Often when I drive a car in a GTA game and then drive it's real-counterpart in other games I get a bit disappointed but just move on and accept it (well unless they screwed up what could've potentially been breathtakingly good; the Zion XS). With the T20 that was not the case. I took that thing to the shop, specc'd it out exactly as you see above in ONE take and drove it for about two hours. And the addiction never stopped. I could not think of a better knockoff design of the McLaren P1. A better knockoff engine note. Better performance. Not at all.

They did well. Amongst all of those crappy and poorly detailed pieces of sh*ts they gave us at the beginning of V's DLC campaign, they still managed to surprise me.

I would have to say Roosevelt too, its a dead ringer for the 1928 Cadillac Town Car its based on. Also the Z-Type is quite close to the Type 57SC Atlantic its based on with the exception of the grille and front fender arrangement, and of course the silly fact it does not have suicide doors, I mean c'mon Rockstar, there were tons of L.A. Noire door opening/closing animations you could have used.

What colour combo did you use Scaglietti? That's pretty close to the MCL Volcano Orange. Mine's close but a bit too much yellow pearl I think

Ocelot

Oracle XS regarding looks imo. It's pretty much a 1:1 copy of a pre-facelifted BMW 7-series (E65) except for the grille and the Hofmeisterknick.

Dominator is the most accurate.

It's an excellent intreputation of what a modernized 1970 Mustang would look like (nearly everything in its design mimics that specific year)... unfortunately it's not something that actually exists.

Although real, modern Mustangs have obvious 60's era design cues, they don't follow them that closely.

I think the Dominator more or less looks better than real current Mustangs.

Basically a "what if" sort of thing. What if Ford based the 5th gen Mustang on a '70 specially, rather than just having general early mustang influences.

Gresley looks pretty close to it's real life inspiration (Dodge Durango)

Cavalcade is pretty spot on on the Escalade..

Dominator is the most accurate.

I don't agree. The side profile is all wrong. It's an awkward retro 2004 Mustang GT and 1960's Mach 1 mix. Doesn't work. Looks terrible.

Cavalcade is pretty spot on on the Escalade..

The Cavalcade looks like somebody's nightmare. And there are a lot of visual flaws, not to mention the cut n paste 90's minivan interior. No badges, and excessive amount of LED drls that don't work. Oh and did I say no badges.
