Kingspray Graffiti Simulator in GTAV?

Imagine being able to "tag" random buildings across the multiplayer map. You can save your artwork and maybe even upload them, like the video shows. Thoughts?

I think it's a good idea that'll be ruined with racial slurs and penis doodles.

^ pretty much, always liked it in SA but a freeform graff thing in GTA would result in lots of 8=D's and swastikas.

Nice idea, but like others have said a feature like this would be heavily misused by people and make life difficult for other people if the tags are saved on the multiplayer map for everyone to see.

One possibility is to make it so that the tags a player made would be viewed only on that player's machine or disc and not the others. So when some idiot decides to spray paint the whole city in a tacky pink shade others won't have to suffer for it.

Nice, if you've got a VR set up to do it with, but that could be really exclusive and divisive for players that don't. Nice idea in theory, but ultimately it would only be available to a very small number of players.

Signatures are dumb anyway.

You care that much about penis doodles? or racial behaviour, which was, is, and will be always present on worlwide gaming scene?

it if was a big problem, we wouldnt have chats/voice chats.

to have any contribution to the this topic I will propose some kind of way to deal with idiots.

Every painted in game graffiti has its own virtual signature (a floating info about the author), which allows anyone to

A: rate +

B: rate -

C: report

Person who has been reported X times goes on the blacklist, then, like in CS:GO, a high ranked community member decides if its offensive.

I mean there's a difference between someone saying ni**er once over a chat and the same word being sprawled onto a wall for everyone to see for a much longer time than you would've gotten if you just said the word.

I think I've met people that were writing offensive things more than once. like constantly for 45 minutes.

The reporting system could work good, as it works fine in CS:GO community (my friend is global elite rank and he reviews such reports and bans people).

that could ruin the whole game for everyone... imagine the possibilities for modders, you could paint EVERYTHING on the map the same color and then you couldn't see where the walls/cliffs are...

or am I wrong here?

you are wrong here. hackers are a constant parasite of the mulitplayer gaming. They dont need graffiti tool to spoil your game. its bad how poeple overthink about overusing the tool, meanwhile its designed to give them something to unleash unlimited creativity. everythink has its own good and bad sides, focusing on the latter option makes you a pessimistic person.

Perhaps you can make the sprays not on multiplayer, then wait for R* approval, excluding Racial Slurs, offensive symbols, etc.

When approved just tag, similar to how sprays work in Gmod

Perhaps all of these fixes require a level of either human monitoring (which costs resources better used for either real purposes or lighting R* cigars) or assume that the playerbase of any game of this scale is going to be so loaded with assholes that you won't turn without seeing racist, sexist, or random offensive bullsh*t at such a massive magnitude that it would simply detract from the overall experience.

The other side is that for every talented person who could do somehting nice (and would), within 5 minutes some asshole will have drawn a moustach over it or their name or aforementioned offensive bullsh*t, ruining the talented work and whatever possible gain this would add to the game.

Which is a shame, because it was pretty neat to watch, and good artsts would do neat sh*t, but it simply couldn't work. Never in anything but SP, at least, and you did specify MP.

as someone who does graff irl i can tell you now it sucks f*cking dick spending multiple hours on a piece and having some c*nt go over it

also "or racial behaviour, which was, is, and will be always present on worlwide gaming scene?" ok so we should just let people do it because it's always been there? are you this dense or did you just fall out of bed the wrong way the day you posted that

this whole post gave me an aneurysm, yes lads lets only focus on the good and nothing bad, because a 50ft high pink swastika surrounded by multiple repetitions of the N word isn't bad and wouldn't be offensive to anyone who plays the game. yes hackers are a constant parasite but giving the game a graffiti mode would end up being hacked and resulting in a fully painted map or something along those lines. if you want unlimited creativity go pick up two cans of Rustoleum from a hardware shop and have at it instead of being a pissbaby because people are pointing out the negatives that would have an adverse effect on one of the most popular MP games out there .

it could work but the average fanbase of V wouldn't allow it to work.

Did You only read the last post? Oh man, its lovely, especially with getting mad when someone covers your work...that was like.. What? How can You be mad that someone covers your art, when it takes only once to make it, and than you are supposed to copy -spray it as many time as You wish?

Second part is really retarded - why? You just ignored whole concept of monitoring reported graffities, by a community. It wouldn't work? Aha, so why valve enabled to review people's gameplay and ban? Are you afraid to help people by reviewing those heavy reported ones? The moment You see it You can report it, it autamitacally lands in a blacklist and it takes like 5 minutes to react for a few selected people who are supposed to keep this artistic feature clean. How many people would Pay for such tool, to create offensive sh*t and get banned after 20 minutes?

"grab some cans and balls..." excelent idea, didnt think about it, I will, and maybe have some car genociding aswell while getting to a hardware store.

I can see this being fun and working in singleplayer but not in multiplayer. People would just come and mess up your murals with penises, cuss words, their tags, etc. Honestly, as an artist myself (hobbyist), I would probably take hours on one piece and have lots of fun, but I think it's should not be in the next GTA and be left as its own thing. And if it isn't added to the next GTA, I bet modders will fix that.
