Juventino24
Hello Guys, Today I tried to play GTA without mods, so I can play online. I installed different car mods and also some graphic mods. The car mods are all installed in a separate mods folder, which is created by Open IV. I deleted the Open IV ASI from the ASI manager so the mods folder is deactivated. After that I tried to start GTA V but the game won't start. There is always an error. Then I also deleted all different graphic mods, which aren't installed in the mods folder, but in the main GTA V Directory. After that, the game also didn't start. What am I doing wrong? Please help me, I really would like to play online without the risk of getting banned. Thank You
Mr.Arrow
You can use Steam cache to verify the game file in case it's corrupted. Not sure about Rockstar Social Club though.

Juventino24
Use commandline arg "-verify". Where do I have to use it? Could you please explain it? Sorry I'm new to this.
alloc8or
Create a text file named "commandline.txt" which contains the string -verify and drop it into the GTA V folder and start the game. Or use cmd. Example: C:\WINDOWS\system32>cd C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto VC:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V>GTAVLauncher.exe -verify Edited May 8, 2016 by Unknown_Modder
Juventino24
Create a text file named "commandline.txt" which contains the string -verify and drop it into the GTA V folder and start the game. Or use cmd. Example: C:\WINDOWS\system32>cd C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto VC:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V>GTAVLauncher.exe -verify Ohh now that you say that. There Is already a commandline data in the main GTA V folder. Should I open that one and then start the game? And what should I do after that I started the game? Juventino24
Create a text file named "commandline.txt" which contains the string -verify and drop it into the GTA V folder and start the game. Or use cmd. Example: C:\WINDOWS\system32>cd C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto VC:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V>GTAVLauncher.exe -verify Hello. So I found out how to verify the game. I verified it but after 5 minutes of verifying the same error pops up which says, that the gamedatas are broken. It seems weird, because the game starts when I use the mods. The error only pops up when I don't use the mods. So after that, I installed another tool which checked the files of GTA V. The program found that the Hash is not correct on those files: GTAVLauncher.exe PlayGTAV.exe GFSDK_ShadowLib.win64.dll I deleted the GTAVLauncher.exe and GFSDK_ShadowLib.win64.dll, but I couldn't delete the PlayGTAV.exe, because otherwise the game couldn't start. After I deleted the files, the game reinstalled the launcher and the dll file again. After that I tried to play the game without the mods but there is still the same error as before. After another check I found out that the hash isn't correct for the same files as before. What can I do? I don't want to reinstall the whole game, because then I have to reinstall all the mods again. Please help. Edited May 10, 2016 by Juventino24
Juventino24
Hello I fixed the Problem. After I installed the updated Version of the tool, I found out that one Folder was corrupted. Maybe, instead of putting one mod in the mods Folder, I put it in the original Folder so the game couldn't start without mods. I deleted the Folder and started the game so the game could install the right Folder. The Problem is now fixed and I can play online without mods.
