toffee72
Hey there! I'm currently working on a code editor for modders. It has tons of features, especially for modders, would make scripting really easier. Lime looks pretty good too, has a lot of themes. It's got a couple of interactive scripting tutorials. A test button which lets you test your script (opens GTAV)Start up screen ^ I'd really appreciate if you guys can let me know the features you'd like to see. Thanks! Jitnaught
What features are currently available? What makes it or will make it different than using Notepad++ or Sublime Text? toffee72

toffee72
What features are currently available? What makes it or will make it different than using Notepad++ or Sublime Text? Well not many, it's just a simple code editor right now. Been working on it for only 3-4 hours. Well yeah that, it's going to have features which will help scripters. And there is already a text editor called Lime : http://limetext.org/ Huh? Lime sounded pretty cool. Name suggestions, anyone?

If you post it on a GTA forum it's quite obvious that it's going to have features which will help scripters. This is unfortunately a low-quality thread, until you proceed to show us more than a start-up form. What makes this text editor stand out from the other million text editors we have seen already? You have to work a little bit on your introduction. Edited May 8, 2016 by Nacorpio Jitnaught

You have still not told us why this text editor stands out from others. Edited May 9, 2016 by Nacorpio
Jitnaught
You have still not told us why this text editor stands out from others. Well we should be asking how it will be different and not how it is different, because he hasn't made anything but the start screen and simple text editor so far. toffee72
I came upon a tool called 'OSV - Learn Scripting', it's pretty promising but Aquilon96 (its developer) said that he ain't working on it anymore, so I got his permission to make Lime some sort of its successor. So, Lime's basically going to be something really similar to OSV, it'll have tons of open source scripts both .net and LUA, an interactive tutorial and a really simple code editor. Jitnaught
it'll have tons of open source scripts both .net and LUA Maybe for the scripts your program could grab them from a GitHub repo, and then you could allow people to make pull requests to add open source scripts to the repo. That way scripts could be added all the time, without you having to do a bunch of scripting. I don't think I'll use this program when it's released since I do quite well with Visual Studio, but I would definitely help out with uploading open source scripts for others to learn with (although I mainly code in C++ nowadays, but I know C#/SHV.NET too). Nacorpio
I still don't see the point of this project, as nobody would use this over Visual Studio.
