Some questions for the FireFighter Mod (by [StAfF]MaN)

Hi everyone ! I'm [stAfF]MaN, a french modder.

I have created the FireFighterMod (like RescueMod etc..), but i've some questions to improve my mod ;)

 

I think you can help me ^^, if you want to, sure :p

 

I) First : How i can use script to call emergency services

-> I've look this forum but i don't understand how i can do...

I would create a system like LSPDFR to call for reinforcements (police / firefighters / ems)

 

For example : the player push a keyboard key for call police unit, an other keyboard key for firefighter, etc...

I see how to make this in C# but i don't know what's the script to call...

 

 

 

II) Second : How can I add a voice when a intervention appears ? ( The voice reads the intervention)

I do not see at all how do about it...

You could use the Microsoft Speech API (SAPI) for speech synthesis (text to speech).

Why not just spawn the police car or firetruck with pedestrians inside of them from a distance and make them drive to the player's current position when the call was placed?

you just need to spawn a car around some distance. . . . say if u want to call paramedics n press M to call it. . . .make it to spawn around 100f or something n just use task.driveto() function to make it drive to ur location that's it. . . m waiting for ur next update of ur mod lol good luck with ur mod ;)

For the voice i use an other method :

 

I have downloaded microsoft SAPI 5.4 and i use this : (after i have added references in VB)

using SpeechLib;SpVoice voix = new SpVoice();voix.Speak("Message", SpeechVoiceSpeakFlags.SVSFlagsAsync);

Fully working !! :lol:

My police car is very slowly ... I don't know how can i fixe it, i have tried the solution in the link but it's don't work...

Problem found !!

 

Don't report in the tick() method this :

 

Game.Player.IgnoredByPolice; OR Game.Player.IgnoredByEveryone;

 

If you don't want police, juste set the wanted level to 0 in the tick() method ;) !!
