chronic lumbago
We had hidden packages, stunt jumps, graffittis and even pigeons but they had one thing in common:they were a f*cking boring bitch to collect. I had the idea, what if the next GTA game let us collect 50 smal hidden interiors around the map? Each one would be unique and detailed. A drug dealer lab, an illuminati-style hidden base, a serial killers hideout... There are a lot of closed buildings in the game and if you try to enter these, some of the doors would open and a message would pop up. Then the player is free to explore the inside. We all know R* loves their details. Is this a good idea? Payne Killer, XXVIII, Yozora and 7 others
Osho
Brilliant idea. In fact, many old school games like Max Payne 1 ( stashes of weapons in undisclosed areas ) No one lives forever, Deus Ex 1, Arx Fatalis, Wizardry, Ultima, etc. featured such a similar concept as well that made exploring the environment and levels less predictable and more interesting. In an open world like GTA there are many ways to implement this. - Hidden interiors not displayed on the map like Far Cry 2, where you have to first locate those areas to unlock them albeit it was still possible to figure out on map via the lock icon but that should be possible to easily address in GTA with no icons or hints made available. In fact, In Mafia 1, there's a game mode called Free Ride Extreme, where the players have absolutely no idea about the location of all the the challenges available but have to figure it out themselves with a unique visual hint system of the lighthouse that will display a screenshot of the location when accessed in order to find the location. It tests your knowledge about the map as well, quite interesting and innovative. Something similar should be created for GTA as well, allowing several unique missions, and tasks to play out through indirect and not so easy to locate but requires the players to explore thoroughly in order to unlock them. Basically, they are hidden content not available on map nor via any NPC but only possible through exploration and careful attention of the detailed world around the player, thus putting to good use of the game world as well. I absolutely hated in IV and V the way the game worlds simply have a detailed backdrop with hardly anything interesting to interact nor exciting, hidden surprises to explore other than a bunch of boring sh*t. Konata Inoue
This sounds like a great idea. Something GTA V was lacking compared to GTA IV. And maybe there could be hidden garages with bonus vehicles like LA noire?
nkjellman
This would be a brilliant idea. Perhaps there could be bonuses in the interiors too. Such as money, weapons, or vehicles. Not to mention some interactive elements, and possibly easter eggs.
PhillBellic
Sign me up. I think it would be a boon for exploration of the Map. CheesepuffScott

Voit Turyv
Saints Row 2 did something similar. There were 32 secret areas in the game, although there was no reward for finding them. http://saintsrow.wikia.com/wiki/Secret_Areas Shadowfennekin and Ivan1997GTA
chronic lumbago
Man, it would be way more fun exploring and searching for a hidden room than a pigeon. I don't think they'd do it but I'm sick and tired of the lazy collectibles they did in the past. I mean 200 f*cking pigeons? Who had this stupid idea Piggsy pls
Piggsy pls
Definitely. Would give us way more reason to explore the map than 200 dumb ass pigeons. Give us hidden interiors with certain rewards, like weapons, money stash's etc. One could even be, for example, an underground gang hideout, which you could clear out, and use as a safehouse. Shadowfennekin
I'd love it. I wouldn't even mind not being rewarded, getting interiors is enough reward for me.
