How many here have started or have previously solid the bulk of their cars either for the money or to refresh their collection (or simply because they don't car for as many cars)?

 

If you were looking for something new or needed the money, what did you spend your money on?

Were you one who downsized or have you never had that many (fewer than 25) cars?

My mate won't sell a single car, even if he has something he has had for ages and hasn't taken out of the garage in a year. Mental.

 

I buy and sell cars as I want to. This is a game, we don't really have them and who do we want to keep them to show off to? Ourselves?

 

No-one is going to look at your "collection", we all have these cars.

 

I sell cars both to get money back and because I realised I never use them.

No, never. I've always maintained a strict car-size collection, only selling one or two to make way for something else when there's no space left.

 

Don't go crazy with the selling, dude. There are better ways of MAKING money besides selling off your stock at a 40% loss.

I have NEVER sold one of my cars...... except for the Dubsta 6x6 as the Insurgent made it pretty much useless to keep anymore.

And the Zentorno, I only had it cause it was the fastest car. It was ugly and I was more than happy to sell it for the Osiris and T20

I've never sold any of my cars; only have one rotating slot to switch out vehicles.

Too many Save Edited and SP2MP'd vehicle that are lost for ever...

I have never sold a car I bought in the game. The only reason I play the game is to make money and buy stuff. Watching my collection grow over the years is how I have fun. To each his own i guess

I've bought and sold numerous collections. Sometimes it's to help fund newer content.. Sometimes it's because I have lost the lust for a certain car. Like it was stated above,It's only a game and I like to do as I please. I do sometimes miss a car that used to rest in one of my garages.. and sometimes I buy and sell cars over and over..*cough.. Comet/Feltzer..ahem..

i have sold a car here and there when they release something and dont have garage space but selling entire garages, never.

 

i have cars that were bought back in 2013, not selling them.

 

at this moment all my garages are full but i have 3-4 cars that can be sold in case they release something i really want.

I've only sold all original cars. The Entity was the last of the Mohicans up until a few months ago. Besides this I bought/sold some disappointing DLC cars. Most of my remaining cars are gaining dust but I still have plenty of room for new vehicles and with 50+ million at my disposal I don't see a reason to sell them with loss. And besides, I invested quite some time in finding a satisfying color scheme for each of my vehicles.

I feel like an evil dictator when it's time to choose which car to sell, going from one garage to the next examining each one, then silently making my way to LSC in the "chosen one".

I find it almost impossible to sell, and as of now, I don't need to. I still have my first garaged car, the thing that looks like a late 70s Pontiac Trans Am. Most cars are unused as I usually head out in an Insurgent. If I take a car out to drive it fast or badly, I'm usually on passive mode. I was away from the game for a few weeks, or a month, so I'm using cars more.

Generally, anything I've bought or stored, I did so for a reason, whether it be transport, racing, style, etc. If I find something that completely replaces it for that purpose, or the purpose is completely done, I'll sell it. If I was out of garage room, I'd have to prioritize and maybe get rid of some stuff that is pretty low usage. But as it is, I rarely sell cars that I've owned, even the ones that I almost never use. Selling something that you buy again later is pretty much just burning money, so I try to be pretty sure about what I want before I buy it, and even more sure before selling. I could probably get down to <10 cars if I absolutely had to, but why bother?

i poured my box of low riders into the lsc trash can and actually bought sensible vehicles that look nice AND are practical.

 

like...4 motorcycles, panto, carbonazairre, etc.

 

i dont regret it one bit.

I have a lot of awesome cars on it, but no other reason to play with it anymore since my second and now main character is already on an higher level, has much better houses, the yacht and the Pegasus vehicles. Not that I'm in need of money, but since some of them are quite valuable, are just collecting dust and I'd like to have them on the other character, I sell the to re-buy them on my main one.

 

Besides that, a lot of times I buy cars just to check them out and try some customizations, and end up realizing they're not as cool as I expected, and won't ever drive it anymore, so I just sell them to get some of the investment back.

advice to you:

 

sell everything you can on your first char, pocket the money, then delete him. cuz he dun matter no more and money is just sitting on him as it is.

After the initial hype, I sold the lowriders. I have one moonbeam left. For the rest, I do not sell usually my cars. You lose 50% on the buy price.

1. Needed the money? Yes, I wanted an Adder in the early on, so I sold off an entire garage of off-the-street cars and grinded to get the rest. I ended up with a garage with one car... the Adder.

 

2. At the most, I've had the max garages (five, I think?) completely filled. Now, I think it's four and I constantly sell cars, buy cars, steal-n'-keep cars, etc. The rotation has never stopped.

One night, I sold off two garages worth of cars, just to reduce Mechanic fees and limit the number of cars I had. Now, I have three 10-car garages (for specific cars) and two 2-car garages (for motorcycles).
