As for calling someone for this behavior? This sh*tfaced country can't even help its own human citizens, much less animals. We're talking about the same morons that ordered all street dogs killed, instead of doing the right thing which is housing them and training them to be good dogs. Oh I lost that ages ago. This is the same f*ckwit that locked a dog - a H-U-S-K-Y, of all!!! - like a prisoner without feeding the poor guy. Worst of all, you can see the dog from one of our windows in the 2nd floor. He's just stuck/chained there in a balcony IIRR. Don't know what happened to him since this was in like 2017 or something, but knowing this degenerate, that poor fella is dead now.

In this spirit of innovation, we are launching a chat topic experiment today and giving you all an opportunity to participate.

Many of you are aware that we will soon be upgrading to a new version of the forum software. Your task, should you choose to be involved, will be to suggest some slogans for the new forum. Examples below:

These fireworks are f*cking annoying past couple of days there have been fireworks going off all night you don't know if it's gunshots or fireworks. Apparently it's a problem all across the country right now.

This fireworks business seems to be worldwide because even we have this sh*t, at least today (& it wasn't at night if that matters/counts). Just a couple hours ago some freaks have been spamming fireworks over and over again. Granted, I'm at this stage wired around explosive/loud sounds so it didn't bother me, but still. Did some f*ckhat got married or something? Did they forgot that the whole place is under lockdown? Just because they lessened the restrictions it doesn't mean you can do whatever.

I am jealous of the UK KFCs. Never been there but from videos and pics I've seen of them online they are way better than the American KFCs we have here. Over here KFC is home to homeless people, undercooked chicken, people fighting to use their bathroom, and food poisoning.

 

This is why I go to popeyes instead.

When an autistic person went missing a couple of weeks back, the family was doing some sort of hike or something at a place called "Mount Disappointment".  What a name for a mountain and I never knew until before the news broke that this place even existed.

I have 3 near me, one is indoors at the foodcourt of the local shopping complex, the other is right out doors as it's own building + drive through and the other is on a highway near a service station, due to COVID I haven't used the foodcourt one at all this year but the outdoor one outside the shopping complex I've driven to a couple of times and their absolutely hopeless, there was a time a couple of months back I was grabbing dinner for the family and I'd gone up to get KFC, do my order at the drive-thru and they tell me it'll be a wait on something (can't remember if it was chips or chicken) and to park at the waiting bay, there was another car behind me that also get sent to the waiting bay, I sat in the waiting bay for a good 20+ minutes and not one employee for myself or for the car behind me had come out, I had to walk in in my PJ's (as it was night and I was not having to expect to even set foot inside) and ask WTF was going on with my order, I get home and the chips are cold... YES COLD. Morons probably left them just sitting out while they did god only knows what in the 20 minutes I was sat in the waiting bay. Family was not impressed with them and next time I'm going to the Highway KFC as my family says they do a mostly better job.

 

Oh and there was also a small mishap the other week I went up to just get the popcorn chicken & large chips and despite me clearly saying to the guy at the register window & speaker I wanted popcorn chicken, not nuggets they still f*cked up and put my order through as nuggets, I get to the pickup window and they say "Large chips & nuggets" and I'm like no? I said popcorn chicken", luckily a manager overheard and said that she did clearly hear me say popcorn chicken.

 

For complaints I would say try to go to the head office as I'm real sure the store says "yeah we'll look into it" and nothing ever gets dealt with, at least if anyone makes a complaint directly with head office they will have it on some sort of log / file.

I got bollocked yesterday for nearly always arriving at work to clean close to 12pm when some of the staff there have their dinner. Was told by my line manager that I have to be in for 10am which triggered my insomnia again. Only had an hours sleep, or less even. I've been at work early before but it was no different because the kitchen was full of people getting their breakfast or having a cup of tea.

Nomen est omen. I seriously wonder what people thought when they named the river that. There is a village quite a long way from here that translates to 'Panties'. People have the weirdest names for geographical locations.

Not only can I sleep but I have great, full color, crazy dreams.

 

If it helps I used to not be able to sleep.  I'd say I was in my 40s when I started to really be able to sleep.  Sometimes I miss that time in bed when I can quietly think through something or other.  The second I hit the bed...I'm asleep.

 

*oh and the sliver of wake time on my sleep charts is when my wife and dogs get up...and I get that aging prostate pee out.

@trip I barely remember my dreams these days. I only knew I'd been asleep for maybe an hour this morning when I remembered I dreamt I was playing some weird twin stick game, then I was at some buildings with rickety ramps connected to them. There's only two dreams I remember clear as day as a kid. First is waking up after falling from a cliff and hitting the ground, and another was being able to breathe underwater with bright fish and corals. These days the only dreams I remember are dreaming about doing bad at my cleaning job and being really slow, or dreaming about finding money then waking up pissed because the money isn't real.

Oi can I borrow that? I also have wild dreams but I remember none of 'em. Rarely do I remember what my dream is all about, and having normal dreams are even rarer. Best shot so far was my college suddenly turning from what it is now to the Blue Door area in DooM II's MAP26 The Abandoned Mines. Like, the rooms in that college area were still there, the stairs were there, the pillars were there, but the floor became Classic-DooM-like lava with the catwalk-y path found in the aforementioned map connecting my classroom with another. Even had like 5 raspberri-,.... ahem..... Cacodemons, 3 Hell Barons and even a Cyberdemon, classic.

I want to try and obtain an old destination sign from a bus, so far I've called two local bus companies with one who won't sell to the general public (understandable I guess), the other being a different company that doesn't sell parts at all, only their withdrawn buses so I started up a local ad online and within 15 minutes I had my first response but I was feeling a bit of "red flags" but I talked with the guy for a bit and he wanted $250 but the highest I was going to pay was $150 (these old signs don't usually go for more than 140 pounds on Ebay UK and without all the conversion who ha the most I'd be paying in our local currency is $150) and he accepted the offer but because this wasn't a local offer I was only willing to pay via paypal, sadly the guy said he's been screwed over too much by it so I thanked him for contacting me and trying to reach a deal.

 

The guy told me he was located in the state below me but something that wasn't sitting right is the image he provided me with looked like it had come from a Finnish vehicle of some sort as in the photo was something definitely not in English written on the dashboard and the picture was showing a dashboard that looked to be located on the left as in left hand drive, not right. So maybe the guy was legit and I may have over estimated things but at the same time you can never be too sure. 

 

I guess the hunt continues.

I once got a speed ticket on an interstate highway. My meter console was malfunctioning and I was doing 140ish while my meter said 125km/hr. The interceptor (Indian police Jeep) had a hard time catching up to me. He might have as well given up on the chase.
