I love how specific they were. They wanted something like $723 in Bitcoin, and they were helpful enough to provide instructions on how to set up a Bitcoin wallet. I can just imagine some middle aged luddite with his trousers around his ankles frantically clicking away and typing quietly so as not to wake up his disgruntled wife. In a panic, he searches for "SEX EMAIL BITCOIN" in Bing, forgetting to clear his history. The morning after his wife catches him asleep at the computer desk and decides to throw boiling water on him.

The only reason I still pay for PSPlus at this point is to simply play online with my friends.. that's it exactly.  

 

I only pay $10 a month for it (31 day membership) that way if any of us stop playing or get bored It's no real big loss... except if they decide after I renewed my membership that they don't want to play anymore then I'm $10 out of pocket. If there was a PS Plus Silver (or lite) that only included multiplayer access and forbid access to the monthly games or cloud storage I would get that instead. There's definitely people out there who'd want exactly that but whether it's justifiable for Sony who knows. I'd like to think not as what if PS Plus lite proves more successful than regular full PS Plus? their going to be losing money while making money, a lot more than if they just stuck to offering full PS+. 

 

There is a semi away around paying but it only last for two days and requires creating a brand new account each time, someone said there's only so many times you can do it on the one device (console) before you can't do it anymore but I've never tried it so can't confirm

 

You can probably expect PS+ to still be required for the PS5 when it comes out unless it's some F2P game and even then I don't know if Sony will keep the F2P requirement with the PS5 but I've seen no complaints with them in regards to it so who knows exactly at this point. 

 

The way I see things is Xbox has been doing paid membership since the OG xbox (correct?), 360 was no different, Xbox One was no different and I'm sure their next console won't be any different. Same could possibly be predicted for PS5, Sony tried it with the PS4 and found locking Multiplayer behind platform membership worked out well for them as it boosted PSPlus numbers, brings in extra revenue and so much more so they don't see what could go wrong with the PS5.

I usually visit profiles by accident thanks to my "tablet fingers" when going for the last post link.

Then there is the few times a year when I just click profiles randomly just for fun.

 

I use to always be logged on as anonymous...profile stalking was far easier then.

Ps4 is cursed. Bought a used fat one a few months ago and my dog suddenly had a weak leg. Traded the fat for the slim on Saturday because I hardly used it with how loud the fan was and now my boiler is playing up. Ps4 is cursed.

Dude.  I wish you the same positive type of boiler interaction as I went through this year.  F'real.  If we are talking the same boiler.  Mine is a gas fired boiler used to heat my house.

 

Plumbing has never been my thing.  I am getting better, but I grew up with grandfathers that taught me all I know...I guess they passed before we got to plumbing.  Toss in plumbing for natural gas and things get scary(well...for me).  I don't want to blow up and such.

 

I knew what my boiler problem was.  It was the thermocoupler(thing that keeps the pilot light lit).  I know that because this valve is notorious for burning out thermocouplers and I've paid my plumber in the past to replace it.  I felt I could do it.

 

I got the thermocoupler and replaced it.  I was excited.

 

While mounting the pilot and thermocoupler the pilot feed broke.  f*ck!   Now I'm f*cked.  Winter is coming.  The pilot light is messing with gas.  I dont want to blow up.

 

I buy a new pilot light feed.  Not as easy to buy/find as a thermocoupler.  

 

I replace it.

 

I didn't blow up.

 

I felt like I had solved world hunger.

I know this feeling, it's great. Never worked on a boiler though, but I've done a fair share of gas heaters. In some ways the new glow plug ones are less sketchy to get going, but the older pilot light models were easier to troubleshoot and seemed to blow hotter.

I know nothing about my boiler except it's a combi boiler. Only thing I know how to do is adjust the pressure, except one time I moved the wrong valve so it wouldn't fire up last year and spent a week cold because of my stupidity. I'm just happy I pay nothing to get it looked at (housing association are responsible for it).

My favorite brand died on me, so I needed to purchase new ones. The old ones cost about 35LYD and had perfect hearing with an additional volume control (independent of the phone/laptop volume so you can really blast music at higher volume levels you could, or tone down the volume at lower levels than your phone can) AND the things "bend" across your ears, so you can have them dangling off your ears without them being plugged in. All that for 35LYD. My new-ish set costs 45LYD (or was it 55? don't remember), have sh*ttier sound outpost AND are regularly-designed earbuds, meaning tough sh*t if you removed them off your ears and don't want them to be dangling down. + no additional sound control, not even 2 buttons to tone up/down the phone's volume.

I have Sony Ch-700s.  I wouldn't have them if I didn't get them on sale.  I've had them for a year now.  I can't say I've ever had wired headphones last a year.  The rugged commute usually does them in, I've lost more headphones to the wire getting caught on the turnstile at the public transit station to/from from work.

The idea of charging an earphone/headphone is just silly to me.

Sure, not having to deal with cables tangling is a great deal and you can override bad amps on some devices...

But urgh, I keep forgetting to charge my phone, I can't help but imagine also having to remember to charge my ear pieces.
Just... no.
