Rick & Morty fans are the absolute densest people when it comes to TV show fandoms, they don’t realize that Rick is the worst man to idolize despite acknowledging he’s not a good person, but they still worship him regardless if you try to hammer that fact in.

The same could be said for any vaguely villainous icon, honestly. The Joker circlejerk exists on a global scale; fantasy nerds absolutely love their replica One Rings; Hannibal Lecter is endlessly quoted; etc... ad nauseum.

Sometimes I think about how weird it is to have pets, like cats. Like, why do I have this animal living in my home? Does he help around the house and contribute to living here? No! What an arse.

These are great.   Not kidding.  We've been getting them for years.  There is a nice mixture of story lengths too.  When I get home I may take a pic of our collection...just as proof.  ha

Damn, those look right up my alley. Thanks. 👍

Yeah. I thought it was funny when you described what you were looking for.  Credit goes to my wife for the initial discovery whenever.   It's a very varied mix.  One thing it did in this house was introduce us to other authors to read more of.  Joe Lansdale being a good example.

And...

There's this guy who works nearby my workplace, he has a bmw with a very loud exaust added. He also has a faketaxi sticker on the back. He was giving who I assume was his grandmother a ride somewhere, usually that's sweet but with that sticker not so much.

So because of the sticker and exhaust he shouldn't give his Grandmother a ride? She's getting the free ride.

That christmas thing should only last a few days. Special things are special because they happen fast, it's a matter of a single day or even a few hours. If we can buy christmas products from september to february then the spirit of the celebration gets lost. I guess it's more important to take benefit and exploit a meaningful celebration like xmas to make money.

I'm already starting to see Christmas commercials.

Dammit! It's too early for this!

Certainly not gonna complain about the availability of egg nog, but it's still the Spooktober spirit happening.

No one cares about Halloween over here, it's sad. No decorations, no horror movies, no trick or treating. Nothing. Everybody is so boring now. I remember that sh*t was popping in the early 2000's when I was growing up, used to come back with a sh*t ton of sweets after trick or treating for like two hours.

I still like to watch spooky movies with snacks on the 31st, it's a fun yearly tradition. I make a night out of it.

No trick or treaters for me. I live in a third floor flat and my buzzer is on private😈 Scroungers can go buy their own sweets.

I remember back when trick-or-treating was a massive thing all around my neighborhood.

Now, people have gotten so paranoid of drug/substance use (being kind of a sketchy neighborhood all around) that nobody bothers to go down my street anymore. Sometimes there's cops patrolling there, shucks.

As soon as I get home I shut my gate on Halloween. I don't want to deal with kids and near adults ringing my doorbell for a few hours. When I didn't have a gate I just left all the lights off and watched tv.

I find gates are also good for:

Keeping people selling (usually) crap away, Keeping out Jehovah's witnesses, and people walking around trying to get me to vote for whoever they're working for.

Third time I’ve been admitted into the hospital for a two week period this year alone because my blood count was in single digits leading to me needing two bags of blood as well as a liow blood pressure and they have no idea what causes it and only finding it after me being sick enough I needed to see a doctor who drew labs

.....least the upside is cute nurses or sisters for those in the UK

Damn guys. Kinda do feel bad for ya if you do really dig the day. My area as always been active with trick or treaters since we have a mix of young and older kids around our block. Lots of our neighbors tend to dress up and join in on the fun every year or so. Especially my next door neighbor who's a huge 80's horror fan. I've invited him at our halloween party my cousins wife came up with since every of our fam bam are gonna meet up there for a BBQ and probably drink the sh*t out of the many brews we're all taking. It really is grate they only live a few blocks away from our neighborhood. Going to have a blast scaring the crap outta kids both dressed as michael myers and try not to scare my own, lmao.

Same here.  Halloween is HUGE in my neighborhood.  We make the list of best neighborhoods every year...people travel to this neighborhood to participate.   It is hours and an endless flow.  I think we do like $300 of candy and still have to run in the house when we run out.

That moment when you overtake a stranger walking in the same direction as you but you're only moving a little bit faster than so you end up walking side by side for a few awkward seconds.
