For some stupid reason only Apple knows they got rid of the USB port on the charging cords with the new iPhones and replaced it with this...

USB C.  Its all the rage.  You can get a little bag of clip on converters to hold you over for now.

I know it is but they did it ass backwards the phone port is suppose to be usb-c not the power port, I have a bunch of Apple cords but this is just stupid

I get why Apple do things the way they do in terms of it being their eco system and you can only do things their way but f*ck me it's annoying. A friend of the family recently got an iPhone xs to replace her iPhone 8 - these are phones with a year difference between them. She asked me to transfer all her stuff to the new phone, with Android this would have been a ten minute task if that. Downloaded iTunes, backed up the old phone and plugged in the new one to restore the backup and got hit with a "THIS BACKUP IS TOO OLD TO RESTORE". Okay, cool so I tried to do it through iCloud and got a storage space error. It really comes to something when the most convenient way to transfer all the pictures and videos is to select ALL the pictures and videos manually (because yknow a phone from 2017 doesn't have a "select all" option) and then AIRDROP the f*cking things to the new phone.

I was talking to my wife about this. The nostalgia my dad has for the 70s and early 80s is comparable to the nostalgia I have for the late 90s and early 00s. I'll doggedly defend it and anybody who raises their eyebrows will get the "you don't understand, you weren't there" rhetoric that sounds more at home from somebody who enjoyed the Vietnam war a little too much.

Excluding the memes, I actually like looking at stuff from the 2000’s. It shows just how close some people were to understanding what’s truly wrong with world as compared to the 80’s and early 90’s, but then they shifted their focus somewhere else and are upset about the wrong things once again.

I'm obviously biased with being born in 1995 and growing up in the 2000's, but man, it was so much better back then. Music, Video Games (IMO), Movies. It really was. I genuinely feel disconnected from people these days, I feel as though I have nothing in common with any of them, and I'm only in my early 20's. Lol I got banned from a GTA 4 sh*tposting group on facebook because I called out a guy who I didn't know who was a moderator for posting generic slavic memes and not focusing on IV sh*t.

Oh well, San Andreas Posting is the only good FB sh*tposting group anyway.

Out of all the GTA games, I don’t think anything can surpass San Andreas in sh*tposting and meme materials. I’m not exactly sure why is that the case, everyone can recall their favorite lines from it and turn into a mainstream meme, but no one can recall anything from GTA V that isn’t a Lamar quote, and even those don’t become memes.

 

GTA IV has *some* sh*tpost material, just not on the same level as San Andreas. At least RDR2 proven itself to be a sh*tpost phenomenon when it comes to Dutchposting.
