Reminds me of when I went to watch Rod Stewart a few years ago. He was touring but I don't think he was promoting an album, so he took session musicians with him. It was a monster set, couple of hours easily. At one point after booting footballs into the crowd, Rod buggered off stage to take a hit of oxygen or whatever, and left his musicians to just play for a little bit. The drummer was clearly a rock drummer, and I'll always remember he had this plexiglass shield in front of him. At one point he just dissolved into this freaky solo, must have gone on for about four or five minutes solid. Cymbals everywhere. Rod came back on and the look of confusion and glee was something you could only see from somebody who had minimal plastic surgery.

Yeah, but the drummer of Shakira is the opposite, big drums with simple fills but very catchy and clean.

 

I just remember the hit song “Waka Waka” many years ago, but I like this song and how he played it.

You know those emergency text alerts you get on your cell? 

 

Around here we just got an Amber Alert.  The alert you get when there is a kidnapping.  It describes the person's car.  In this case a white Toyota Corolla.

 

Got me thinking...  The kidnapper most likely has a cell phone and got the emergency alert.  Ditch the car and buy some time I guess.

I had microwave mash and sausage (with gravy and peas) for my tea. I eat microwave food from the tray if it isn't split into compartments but put the tray on a small plate. As I took it out of the microwave and placed my fork into the tray, I wasn't watching what I was doing and pushed a sausage over the edge of the tray into my left thumb which was gripping the edge of the plate ready to take to my chair to eat. I was thinking about a programme I was about to watch and normally end up hurting myself in some way if I'm thinking about one thing while doing something else. I almost broke my thumb on Friday against the back of a chair while at work cleaning because I was thinking about something.

I do know that 20 countries within the EU has an Amber Alert type system 

 

This kind of explains the other countries systems such as UK, France and The Netherlands

 

You'd think they'd get rid of the car but in most cases they're too stupid to do it in almost all the cases I can remember they found the kidnapper either in the vehicle or near the vehicle

 

In some state it is illegal to listen to police chatter and in Alaska they manged to get rid of the whole public system all togeather there are No live feeds for any dept in Alaska as they are all encrypted and scrambled so scanners can't pick them u[

@loyletomycapo I only open my windows ever so slightly so I don't let many insects in. At night I close them because I hate moths or daddy long legs getting in because moths are annoying to try and get back out with how they fly at you and daddy long legs are a crime against nature. I really hate how they fly and bounce about everywhere.

So I want to start a little discussion:

 

For the past few months, I've been seriously considering deleting my Facebook account. The only thing that really even keeps me on there is the Messenger, but honestly I'm just sick of it. It makes me sick to my stomach to see some of the posts and the constant feeling of depression and sadness I feel comparing my life with others. The whole site is just one big 'f*ck you' to the mind. I really think my life would be a lot more simpler and less stressful without it. If anyone truly wants to keep in touch with me, they'll find a way. Most of them won't care. So I say f*ck it to those people, they were never really "friends" to begin with.

 

Has anyone here done it and how do you feel afterwards? Starting to realize more and more how warped social media makes our minds.

I deleted it two times when Facebook was just a baby, but I use it mostly to watch news about my favorite bands and some years ago I had the opportunity to change messages with my favorite guitar player and other musicians and obviously with my brothers and friends and the marketplace is great because I sell everything there.

I made the decision to get rid of Instagram awhile ago. Surprisingly, it felt good, in fact better than I expected. But that platform? In all honesty, all I saw there were attention seekers, wannabe celebrities, clickbaiters, cheesy advertising and whatnot.

 

I had considered Facebook, too; but a lot of my close family is scattered throughout Canada, and aside from reunions, chatting with them occasionally through FB is the only time I can talk with them.

 

Social media is a joke, really. It never turned out to be the same functionality as it was intended. More of something to fill a void or provide a false "social status" or belonging. I could rant for awhile about it.

Hiding likes and followers on Instagram is a great idea against those people but still is in test mode.
