So I just came across some random news headline about the release date of the PS5. Yes, it was likely bullsh*t tabloid stuff, hence why I didn't even bother clicking on the link, but it got me thinking. I'm not even in the slightest bit hyped for it. Why? Well because the jump in graphics and gameplay from the PS3 to PS4 was pretty disappointing when you compare it to the jump in graphics and gameplay from the PS2 to PS3. I expect the PS5 to just be a glamorous PS4.

 

I'll let my member title explain my opinion on all of this.

Netflix shows or shows they acquired? Im watching season 4 of "The 100" right now for a CW show its surprisingly good. as for netflix produced shows Ozark, Master of None, End of The f*cking World, Godless and Altered Carbon are the better ones out right now

I try to understand my drawings, non-stop everyday, throwing to the trash old bad drawings and trying good drawings, not searching perfection, just something than I satisfy to see as this was in my mind.

Never throw away your old drawings, even if you think they're awful. It's always helpful to have a reference, and some older work can serve as a reminder to keep going. I have notebooks on my shelf that must be about 10 years old now just teeming with doodles, sketches and plot ideas. Every now and again I'll have a flick through and find something workable.

 

Keep everything. It'll mean more to you the better you get.

I've started writing recently, it's nice to get lost just writing away but I have to push myself to do it consistently. On reddit there is a subreddit called r/writingprompts where people submit a scenario and you write about it. It's great for practice. I might contribute to the writing section here once I have something decent.

Writing as on paper? If so, i'm more into drawing comics but i'm not that good at drawing. Ever since high school i wanted to draw small comics for magazines, mostly humorous, but it seems less than half of my jokes are funny, in fact, on the joke thread only 2 or 3 of my jokes are actually funny but irl i make a lot of them and many are funny, at least to my closest friends but idk if i have the talent and skills to write jokes and draw comics for magazines, portals etc

I'm kinda sad. A guy who does Fallout critiques called MisterCaption has nuked all of his internet accounts, Steam, Twitch, etc and rumor is he commited suicide because of negative backlash of his Nier critique. Supposedly he had autism and the backlash was too much. I hope the suicide thing isn't true, nothing's confirmed though.

 

This guy put a lot of interesting points in his reviews and makes you think, it's not just blind praise or hate. He was pretty much on the money with his Fallout 4 review even if it did rub some people the wrong way.

Heh Heavy Metal Music & Drawing is not a combonation you hear about often when I think of drawing I think of peace, quiet and relaxation and if I do have music on it's sometime with a slow tempo like Jazz, Soft Rock or in most cases 80's-90's Country but HM is a new one.

 

Don't throw out your drawings even if you think you made a mistake, Keep going there are ways to cover up the "mistake" without throwing out the whole thing especially if you've already put a lot of time into it and even if the drawing isn't salavgeable keep it so you can use it as a point of reference where you messed up so you know to avoid it on this upcoming attempt.

 

Also don't use pens for drawing until you've got it down pat and even then I use 3.5 Mechanical Pencils for my drawings and once I've completed it I go over it again with a very fine point pen and than erase the pencil markings that are still visible.

 

Just make sure you buy decent pencil erasers, There is NOTHING worse than buying an eraser that smudges the paper more than it erases it.

Like I said before once you choose your method of colors such as Colored Pencils, Markers or Charcoles don't skimp on them go to a craft store that sells nothing but craft supplies and buy several difference options of each color such as Blue, Navy Blue, Sky Blue. Baby Blue, Yellow, Sun Yellow, Canary Yellow, Black, Mate Black, Carcole Black, Graphite ect

 

They may look the same to the naked eye but once you get home and try each color on paper you will see that each color does indeed vary although slightly they do vary and even though it may not make sense buy several White colors as well such as White, Eggshell White ect as some drawings may require some "lightening" once you've colored in the dark backgrounds you may use the white to make it appear that the moon is shining or the light from street lamp reflecting.

The one place where I knew I could buy normal black jeans for my leg length for cheap has finally joined the tight jeans brigade They're not as tight as ball squeezers but they hug my legs and arse. Put them away as last resort back up jeans because I can't be bothered taking them back.

 

I'll be dressing like a chav this year. Tracky bottoms look comfortable.

Hmm.. came across an ad today from my local hospital. Apparently they're looking for test persons (aka guinea pigs) to test out certain medicines. You basically stay at a research center for a couple of days while they draw your blood, examine you physically and you take some medicine. You get a pretty nifty monetary reward for it.

I never really considered partaking in these kind of things myself. You also always have those horror stories of ''what if this happens?'', but has anyone here ever participated in something like this?

I don't know how the weather's been down there in Newsundercastleland, but it's been pretty good here the past few days, albeit a bit windy, but that's a regularity. Today it's pissing down though. I'd give a sh*t, but it's Saturday, and I've not long cracked open my first stimulant.

Looks like the kind of weather we're having here, too. It's going to be almost nonstop rain and also chilly. I really don't hate rain at all, but I don't like that we're supposed to be in spring and yet it's still pretty cold. I'm really looking forward to when I can just go outside in a nice shirt or a very lightweight jacket.

 

EDIT: Just checked the weather again and saw this

Please, I'm done with snow. I don't want to see it again until next winter. Snow of any kind this late is also unusual, but I hope that it doesn't happen. I much prefer rain and would rather have constant rain all winter than dealing with snow.
