Damn, I've got Bowie's 'Life on Mars?' stuck in my head, and now I don't know if I should just embrace it or try to forget it.

That song is so profound which is why it's so hard to forget, one of his greatest imo tbh.

I honestly think we humans need to face the fact that some of us are more valuable to society than others. An ugly fat girl who does nothing but eat chips once she's done sitting at a desk all day is obviously less valuable than a pretty skinny girl that teaches grieving widows yoga once she's done inventing new codes to prevent identity theft imo. It's just so fake to say we are all equal when naturally there is a cast system.

I gave you a like because I agree with the underlying logic in what you're saying, though I don't agree at all with the example you used (that's just f*cked).

HOWEVER, the caste system you speak of exists everywhere, and always has and always will. In the West, it's just not SEEN as a caste system, even though it is one (not calling a spade a spade).

It's like an inherent part of society. For example, when Tom Petty (R.I.P. <3) died, lots of people cared, but did as many people care when some obscure local musician passed away?

I'm not sure you understand what a caste system is, you just described the difference between being famous and not being famous.

We're thinking on different levels. You won't understand what I'm saying..

Yes, different levels. Your level is redefining words to fit the paragraph in which you used it, mine is understanding what a word means.

Get on my level.

I wanted to profess my love for chopping logs but concluded It couldn't be articulated without sounding like a cheap euphemism.

So I like doing real manly stuff, getting all sweaty and then subsequently waking up with aches in my lower joints.

Hell yeah! Get a similar feeling while at the gym or helping my father out with house work when i'm available. Mucsles hurt like hell sometimes but i like the feeling. In a wierd way, not sure lol. Back when i was younger in my early teens i really didn't do sh*t besides drink and just hang out by my house or go to the park and cause trouble with other cliques. It's nice feeling this way just staying active every few days or so. Love it.

It's coz we were meant to actually use our bodies extensively. This whole cubicle/couch life is unnatural as hell.

I make it a point to work laborious jobs for this very reason. Working with your hands, lifting and moving sh*t actually makes you feel like you're working because everything's actually tangible.

If that's what The Pit was like back in the day, then it isn't quite cracked up to be what I pictured. Too friendly for my liking.

It's a shame D&D is so heavily regulated, as that section would be the perfect place to unload a flurry of poisonous verbal bullets, so long as it's open to all sides.

E. Never mind, just entered the dedicated sub-forum and found Tyler's thread. Now that's what I'm talking about!

Last night while making brownies I was using a butter knife to see if the middle was finished. I stuck it in and slid it out and only a little bit stuck to my knife. That means it's all but done. Anyway, I saw that delicious-looking sliver of brownie batter and without thinking I put the knife to my tongue to taste it, only to immediately lose feeling in an area equivalent to the surface area of the butter knife. What I'm saying is that I'm stupid.

My pot roast came out absolutely breathtaking, though.

Also anyone here ever read High Fidelity?
