No. Because they f*ck up remakes when they make them. Not really regarding them as in (Disney) but remakes tend to turn out awful and Hocus Pocus was a really grate movie and was a part of my childhood. Really loved the movie as a kid and seeing the remake turn out sh*t is gonna be a bummer

It's brand recognition, makes it a safer bet than a new intelluctual property. People will go see it because they liked the original or to compare it to the original. The remake probably will get a lot of grief online but these remakes are still making money so Hollywood doesn't care.

they should remake classics, pre 1960s movies if anything, some of those movies are great, but havent aged well so a remake would be well received. to me its dumb to remake a movie that was popular 20-30 years ago. i just saw a commercial for Flatliners, i still remember the original one with Kiefer Sutherland like it was yesterday.

Some remakes are definitely worth their salt, Nolan's Insomnia, Cape Fear and Evil Dead instantly come to mind.

I'm watching Gerald's Game and have only just realised I read the book when I was a teenager, I must've been 12 or 13. I had no idea because I'd forgotten the title.

 

For some reason I used to get confused between Tommyknockers and Gerald's Game.

Memory of sh*te, but it lets me accidentally surprise myself so hey-ho.

Not really a spoiler, but still.

 

 

There was a part where I actually gagged, it completely caught me off guard. I have never in my entire life GAGGED at a film (and I don't mean that new version of 'gag', I mean it made me wanna puke).

 

I mean sh*t, It's not even that kind of a film but that one part just mind f*cked me.

So it's October now, the next holiday is Halloween aka Satans Christmas. Do you guys like Halloween or is it just another day for you? Myself i'm not into it. It's early but I bring it up as the shops clearly disagree, they already have all the Halloween merchandise out.

Halloween is huge in my neighborhood. We love it. It is treated like a festival here. I've posted pics and movies in the past.

 

The treat portion is about 4 hours long and we invest about $400 in candy for that one night. *

I may edit in a small movie from last year.
