I have a dog so it would probably drive her loopy. On the topic of seafood, I love tinned fish such as mackerel in oil, or salmon or pilchards. And I love battered or breadcrumbed cod and haddock. And tuna mayonnaise with pasta.

The issue you've run into with your mussels is more to do with quality of product and method of cooking than it is mussels as a thing. As a general rule of thumb, any shellfish you microwave are likely to be f*cking terrible.

 

Good quality mussels cooked property are a wonderful thing.

Prior to the GTA Online event in 2013, R* took fans to a restaurant where you order off a set menu. Under starters it had "Steak Tartare". At the time I've never heard or seen that on a menu so I ordered it thinking "Oh yeah STEAK! I love steak". It was long ago plus I was jetlagged and haven't slept for 35 hours (not kidding) but I wouldn't be surprised if I told the waiter "I'll have it well done, please".

 

A while later it came out and I thought to myself WTF IS DIS sh*t. Embarrassed I ate that sh*t. Every. Little. Bite.

Whoever the first person was to look at mussels and think 'I can eat that' deserves (or deserved because they're probably already dead) to be shot. Bought some microwave ones and they stunk my kitchen out. Then I looked at them and they looked like split slugs with sh*t inside them. And the texture is horrible. Put some in the live *mousetrap and binned the rest.

 

*still not worked. It even refused chocolate cake. It just stands next to my bin then runs away to someone else's flat when I walk in the kitchen.

Sooo... I disapproved last college's year, but thankfully I can do some of the next year's subjects right now (I was on the second year and so now I have to do the remaining subjects, plus 4 subjects of the third year of my choice, 2 per semester). All cool right? In the end I do 5 subjects per semester just like on a normal year and the third year subjects I do now I won't have to next year, which is great. Problem is I could either enroll me to do both during afternoon which is obviously incompatible so I'd have to choose one group of subjects to frequent the classes and the remaining I'd only do the finals (which is a terrible idea just as it sounds) OR (as I did) enroll me to do one during afternoon and the remaining at the post-labor class (6:30 PM to 10 PM).

 

Fortunately I have the morning period free but I'll spend a huge ammount of time at college and only have the morning free. IF I'm smart and don't distract myself I can take advantage to study during all the gaps in my schedule due to the subjects I've already done and so all the time I stay at home I can just do my stuff without bothering about study, but I'm really wondering if I'll continue to have enough spare time to do my stuff (playing guitar and gaming, pretty much). Well, at least I've learnt not to be a lazy ass and study the whole semester and not just the night before finals, but let's see how I'll handle this.

So this is interesting, or atleast it is to me. One of my Aunts did a DNA test recently and found that she is 31% Scandinavia. I've been researching my ancestry since 2009 and I personally have yet to find any Scandinavian ancestors. That was a big shock to my Aunt and I because we had no idea we had any ancestors from Scandinavia. Now I'm interested in finding the branch in my ancestry tree that is from Scandinavia. So yeah, anyone here on GTAForums that is Scandinavian could very well be a distant cousin of mine.
