I'm excited to see what they do with Ghostbusters, the old guys have all endorsed it... this movie will probably inform my opinion on how easily motivated by money those guys have become... or not.

Looks kinda lame, not as awful as sensationalists youtube comments wants to make us believe but still, lame.

Besides, it wouldn't be the first time that people involved in a movie speak highly of it, no one sh*ts on their oncoming movie.

I watched the old reboot from the 90's this weekend, I saw it in the theater (I was working theaters at the time) and didn't hate it. Watched it again and also... didn't hate it, not great but good enough to have made another one or two. I really loved the series when I was younger, always watched re-runs and lamented they weren't in order... your avatar is from Forbidden Planet, though right? Even though if I recall... they used the same robot for LiS.

Yes, and maybe I'm just an optimistic fool, but I really want it to be good. I really wanted TMNT to be good... and I still have the tiniest of hopes for TMNT 2 despite the lameness of 1, but... hey, I'm a "glass of clear fluid is hopefully water" kinda guy.

The Lost in Space robot was B-9, a "class M-3 general utility non-theorizing environmental control robot". Robby did appear in a couple of eps, though.

 

 

BTW, the only good things about that reboot IMO were Heather Graham and Lacey Chabert.

sh*t costs money, basically. Plus, I'm sure that the continued offers make them feel like they're still relevant in some way. A lot of older actors take crap roles just to stay in the game.

True, and I try to keep that in mind but with some of these movies I have to think they have enough cash to NOT make, say, the Intern, or "Meet The Fockers 5."

 

But if someone asked me to do a series of commercials that told the world all people who like Star Trek and play video games suck, i would do it. I'm a fan of having money. I'd even do commercials for Star Wars against Trek and root for the Raiders. For money, of course.

He was such a grate actor. Being in cheesy movies like Dirty Grandpa with an idiot like Zac makes me feel bad for him. So many grate movies in he's been in the past but like you said old fart actors start taking some sh*tty roles with bazzar actors. I hope Arnold nor Stallone don't take this path or any other old grate actors.

well most people dont consider arnold and stallone great actors, plus arnold already went down the path. stallone still staying strong though

well most people dont consider arnold and stallone great actors, plus arnold already went down the path. stallone still staying strong though I know most people wouldn't but movies like Terminator and the Rocky series were amazing. That's why i don't want them to flush out by staring in crappy role films. I guess you would say Anrold is done. Poor dude is old as heck. Same with Stallone but he's still holding out.
