I'v never understood why people use cancer as an insult to content they find stupid, I know autism is used when they are hyper literal when it comes to debunking jokes but cancer actually kills you.

This game though.... the only game that rivals it right now is Skyrim. Don't think mighty Skyrim will stand a chance - when I first bought the game I hated it. DooM 4, on the other hand, not even a day and I'm addicted. Will be a shame when I have to return the PS4 back to its owner.

In other news, the price for Helvetica is absolutely ridiculous.

 

What's Helvetica, you may ask? It's a font. It is used in GTA for this police car:

 

And more importantly for a modder like me, the Metropolitan Police (London) absolutely live on this stuff. For example:

 

Unfortunately, we pesky Windows have to live with Arial. Arial is what I'm typing with right now, and as you can clearly see, it is almost identical, yet in some cases, very different from Helvetica. Why? Adobe made Arial for IBM, and so got it licensed for Microsoft. Meanwhile, Helvetica is exclusive and FREE on Apple, because of laser printing.

 

However, this is where the big issue comes in. I know, graphic designers don't like their work not having face value, but the prices for Helvetica are literally unbelievable. In the UK, A SINGLE version of Helvetica, no matter what you pick, costs £30. And from the looks of it, you probably don't get it in bold or italic, so for the whole collection, including bold, italic, and bold and italic, you have to pay £120.

 

I don't run a business. We're beginning to struggle for money, thanks to cuts and ending of grants for our family. Where am I going to be able to get £120 just for some glyphs on a computer? That's the sort of purchase I do not want to make unless we have a lot of money to spare. And no, I will not settle for pirated, illegal versions of the font.

 

It doesn't help I have OCD. So whenever I make police cars, they just don't look right using Arial font, they really should be Helvetica. It's unbelievable we Windows users have to fork out so much just so we can have Apple's super-fancy, mega-used font.

 

In the end, though, I'll probably never get the damn thing.

I love DOOM, it made me realize that video games without big f*cking guns are bullsh*t(I love that show, too). Am I the only one who thought the movie was p decent? It could've been much better, but at least it wasn't as bad as Max Payne.

I visited a few second hand stores today and bought some new albums for my record collection. I bought the debut album of Whitney Houston for like two euro, then I visited another second hand store and found a Queen greatest hits album for seventy euro cents and I bought Erotica by Madonna for two euro. My collection is getting bigger and bigger I guess but I just like buying music.
