Some days I do feel like an alien, that much is very true.

 

I look around and I think about what I thought the world would be like when I was a child imagining my future, and nothing is right. I rent, don't own, I'm mid divorce and every bit of progress that had happened in the last 20 years seems to be taken back, bit by bit, day by day. Instead of people trying to get off this rock, we are getting more and more glued to it, instead of listening to other perspectives, we crawl up into our safe caves where all "like minded" people hide. Instead of using the internet's infinite access to all of the information of humanity to seek knowledge, wisdom, and to learn, we use it to confirm our own bias and we ignore facts that don't "feel right." Instead of using the vast social networks and easy access to billions of other humans, we once again find a comfortable circle and pass from person to person the same used ideas, images and jokes as we live the old axum "Learn from history or be doomed to repeat it."

 

I am guilty as well, I've failed in more ways than I care to count and I struggle on the daily to try to be better, with differing degrees of success... but hell, at least we have legal weed. I'd trade that freedom for the future Star Trek promised me, though, without as much as a second thought.

 

Live long and prosper... more than anything it's a tease now.

alright nerds i have a bit of a question that might not be a question but just me expressing my stupid thoughts

 

Ever feel like playing some video game to waste time or something, but then just the thought of moving the controller or m+k and having to concentrate for an extended period of time makes you tired? Because that's been the deal with me for the last few months. Like only way I'd be satisfied is if I could move sh*t with my brain and not have to physically move...

The first line is true. Playing physical games are good for our health. This computer applies some kind of adhesive and sticks us to the chair. Now you at least move you hands while you're playing. You wanna stop that also?

Honestly, I've quitted gaming since a year or so.

Really helps, removea stress a lot, since no game designed 100% perfect.

Stress? Sometimes real life can be stressful and gaming becomes a stress relief mechanism.

 

And sometimes the opposite, but playing Worms wasn't really stressful as far as i remember (except when lagging ofc, and i almost never had enough playing it), unlike doing some missions in GTA or any game with hard and complex missions

LOL Years ago there was this music/movie store called Tower Records & Movies. So i had a friend who worked there when all the stores were going out of business. So it was getting down to the last couple days before the final closing day. My friend let us come in and "take" what we wanted this day.
