It's snowing out. The Christmas feels is starting to get reals.

 

This is the only month of the year where I'm ok with snow btw.

We rarely get snow here. In fact, I think it must be at least 4 years since we had any snow that wasn't melted away by 9am, and that was in late February. Nah, we just get miserable rain throughout most of the festive season. Bring on the summer ffs.

This looks like it's that type of snow too. It just added some frosting to the grass and tops of cars, looks it it stopped too. This snow is meh.

Heavy snow is great fun - when you don't have to drive, in which case it's obviously an absolute pain in the arse. I live close to the sea which is why snow rarely lies too heavily here, but we usually head to a town about 5 miles more inland to sledge on a golf course there. Great fun. However, again, as much as I enjoy the festive spirit and all that it entails, I'm definitely a summer man. Not that we get a great deal of sunshine most summers, but hey ho.

I like the light fluffy snow the most. When it's more powdery than wet. I don't remember which type of snow was best for sledding though, haven't done any of that since 96 I think.

I'm definitely a more powdery snow man myself. I think for sledding it has to be a combination of both, though - you need a firm surface, but not too firm that you're living like an Eskimo at the foot of the hill!

I remember sledding down a hill and into the creek, luckily it was frozen over and I didn't weigh much so the ice held, but whoooo boy was I nervous trying to get to solid ground. lol

Reminds me of an incident where my sibling and I were skating on a pond at one of our local parks. We were having quite the fun, only for the ice on the rim of the pond to break up and leave us somewhat stranded. The pond had a depth of probably 1 metre, but as kids it was quite a traumatic experience. We ultimately survived the experience. Clearly.

Aye, that's good. I wish I could skate but I can't keep steady, my knees get too shaky and I either face plant into a wall or fall flat on my ass. Although my experiences are with roller skates, I'm not sure how different ice skating is, if there is one.

Ice skating is definitely harder to master, but not by much. I was introduced to ice skating first, and sucked bollocks at it. I was then introduced to roller blades, mastered them as a kid, and then ice skating seemed like second nature. Haven't done it in a few years, but ice skating is a fun way to keep fit, son.

i remember the first time i went ice skating i was still trying to grasp the concept of it, my uncle zoomed past and grabbed me and f*cking vtec kicked in and i went straight into a barrier whats good

 

i took to snowboarding alot quicker than ice skating although thats just a skateboard without wheels, i say snowboarding even though it was just a dry ski slope but it was still p dope

I feel you, I have Vans and they have a odd sole pattern. If I step into dog waste now I would probably have to clean my shoes for hours. I can imagine that being a downer. To be honest, I don't get it why people just won't clean the dog waste. In my country, people even get free Dogscoopers so they don't even need to touch the dog waste, they just grab it with a scooper and throw it away in the garbage cans that were especially placed for dog waste but even that is too hard for some people.

I stood in dog sh*t on the beach once. It went right into the grooves of my flip flop. I spent 20 blissful minutes picking bits of turd out of the gaps whilst deciding what ice cream I wanted. I went for a Solero. It was probably one of my favourite holiday moments.

I've been on my laptop for the last few hours, dad was watching movies on the TV before he went to bed a few hours ago. I decide to go watch TV, walk in to the living room and because it's after midnight the station has changed from regular movies to lesbian porn.

 

Thank God no one else woke up in the 45 minutes it took me to notice, that would've been difficult to explain.
