I'm really spooked! I had my headphones in listening to music staring at my screen when I saw something white moving across my room out of the corner of my eye and a loud thump.

 

There's only me and my sister home and she's in her room.

 

Something similar happens to me a lot when I try to sleep, except it's more like a camera flash going off right in front of me. Must be some crossed wires BS

Hey speaking of sleep or lying in bed blah blah blah...Hear me out on this fun exercise.

 

 

Lay on your back with your arms to your sides and your palms facing up. Do simple breathing in and out exercises(deep in hold for awhile, deep out hold for a shorter while than your inhale hold) but try not to think about the fact that your doing a breathing exercise.

 

Eyes closed of course.

 

Now in the dark space of your head with your eyes closed - pick a distance star. Sure sure sure you can't see stars when your eyes are closed but trust me...you can see your own stars.

 

Just keep staring at that distance star. You may start floating towards it. If so, don't panic. It's easy to get weirded out and panic. You'll never reach the star but thats alright.

 

 

For the record I'm not religious, I don't believe in anything super natural or metaphysical. I don't belive in "out of body" experiences...but this is the closest feeling to out of body I'm guessing.

 

 

It's just a meditative relaxation exercise. If you're having troubles sleeping this may help.

 

 

Oh...and once you manage to float up towards the star you can only do it once a night. That part kind of suck because it would be fun to be able to do it over and over while lying in bed.

Sounds like Lucid Dreaming what you've described. Been there; done that, but never managed to achieve it. Instead I just get my usual dreams.

It's really just like 60 seconds of a super crazy relaxed feeling.

Well, since you seem to pull off this exercise, I think getting into lucid dreaming shouldn't prove too difficult for you.

I get some pretty weird episodes a lot during nights, especially in the summer. IDK what to call it but I usually wake up in a panic and can see or sense (sometimes even feel) a presence of some vague arachnid thing. It's usually just a spider which stops existing if I just concentrate hard enough and/or pull myself together, but sometimes it's a larger shape. I've been getting better at stopping it before the panic gets to me by immediately reassuring myself that nothing is wrong and that I'm alone whenever I wake up. It's only difficult if I can "feel" the web tbh

 

i've also been told that i speak loudly and eloquently a lot during the night. my mom's thought for years that I used to have people over at like 3 am for chatting

 

 

who wants to share a bed with me

 

(my ex slept with her eyes half open and would have brief and sporadic, violent spasms which usually just felt like her waking up and deliberately punching me. we must've slept a total of 9 minutes when we were together)

I just had a cobweb hanging in front of my face from the ceiling while watching YouTube on my Xbox. Then I felt some on my arm hairs. Had a spider that had been in my flat since yesterday. Was going to leave it but promptly used the empty cereal box to remove it because of said arm hair issue.
