I work in an elderly care home. All the fireworks probably gave two or three of my residents World War II flashbacks. Last year I caught one hiding under the table clutching a baseball cap and babbling in a panic. I thought I'd try and calm them down with a DVD but all they owned were war films and documentaries. I ended up putting one about Hitler on mute whilst their Fleetwood Mac cassette played in the background.

Damn thats sad, people need to be aware of what fireworks can do to certain people and animals

Honestly, I don't think fireworks are 'good' enough to warrant irritating and scaring anyone who lives in the vicinity. Even organised shows aren't anything grand. Seems kinda pointless considering the cost and how short lived it all is.

Aswell as the damage it can cause, few years back parents round here let their kids light some, one of them fell over and shot down the street. Nothing but bad happened but the parents carried on letting the kids do it, because that makes complete sense.

 

E - It shot down the street because we live in a cul de sac, there's a road behind us and in front, so people think they can do whatever they please in the street purely because it's a cul de sac.

I love when it gets dark faster, my screens are next to my window so I normally have to have something covering them up, but at night I can open my windows, let some air in and not worry about being unable to see anything on screen.

Well you really wouldn't like it in the UK then, it's 5:30 for me and it's already pitch black outside.There have been times where I live when it was 4:30 and pitch black out. I find it annoying as hell.

It's 5:28 and it's already dark. I remember last year I came home from track practice and it was super dark, and since I live in a suburb there's only a light or 2, couldn't run home because my legs already felt like they were in hell.

 

Atleast the ride home was relaxing, the scenery in the north shore is better at dark.

I just hate this time changing stuff period. Always hated it when it got darker faster. Yeah winter is coming once again on the bright side. California is hot as sh*t and it's good to have fresh mornings along with cool and relaxing evenings
