Ya boy hit an all-you-can-eat buffet though. But yeah, these chinese restaurant-owners keeping it real. A restaurant in the city centre with all-you-can-eat grub for under 10 euro, sh*t's dangerous.

I live in Chicago where eating at an "all you can eat buffet" is frowned upon, but i don't give 2 sh*ts. Its cheap and delicious. But i always wondered why Chinese buffets have more american food than Chinese food

Most people at all you can eat buffet restaurants make me sick. The level of gluttony is mindblowing, and defies all logic. I see people piling their plates to the ceiling after each trip, only to leave half of it in a vain effort to find another food from the seventy or so they've chosen. It's as if they're scared the place is going to run out. It's "all you can eat", not "all you can fit on your plate at once". It's easy, just get modest plates and eat what you've taken. If you don't like it, fair enough, leave it - chances are if you're a rational human being you've only taken a small amount to try so you aren't denying anyone of anything you might not like.

All you can eat buffets are actual jesus, the food is so unhealthly good(rip my MyPlate diet). Whenever I go there I'm gulity on stuffing my place with food and ignoring half of it but now I try to eat portions and get what I like when I get another plate. The places around here serve crab legs with dinner, I usually have an entire plate of those but you have to get them when the staff refills the pan or else it'll be basically empty because old men with big ol bellies and way too high cholesterol camp there and take half of the legs. Another tip is avoid getting the food at the top because I've seen kids whose parents are too busy stuffing their face to watch their kids, pick up bread, sneeze, then put it back on top.

I LOVE buffet-style restaurant, especially those Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) style buffet, where you can take unlimited amount of meat and sides and then grill them yourself on the table.

 

Pro-tip on buffet eating; NEVER make a pile-up in your plate! Better take a little and finish it rather than make a pile-up and ended up wasting your food. Some restaurants charge extra if you waste the food that you take. Plus, it's really gross to look at.

 

Also, cutting the carbs and avoiding soda drinks while eating buffet helps you to enjoy more food.

I see what you're saying. I can't stand watching people gorging like that either, find it very off-putting especially with the ladies (instant turn-off).

 

I love the idea of all you can eats though. Being someone who's always hungry (high metabolism + very physical job + uni student income), the idea is amazing.
