I got a Zentorno and Hakuchou for my new account. I never would have bought a Hakuchou but it was half price and I love it so much I'm going to get it on my main account. Even though I have $18.3 million and every car and bike I want the discount are still good for people that have everything they want they can try out things they never considered buying before.

This is the first event week that caters to me in a while. However, there is a problem. These Time Trials are not grindable. You complete them once to get the reward and then you wait for the next time it is up, so having a TT event is an odd move. I wonder if they could turn on multiple TTs at once. It would have been a better move to distribute all 22 TTs into the 7 days, instead of only one per day.

i never managed to beat even one time trial. but i continue to race it to the end, even when it is 5 minutes over already. but then i can't just restart it, what really bugs me. why do i have to wait so long to try again?

Skyrim and F4 does that already for me well enough. Tho they haven`t killed Online since its release date completely and so won`t U4, cuz I won`t play it as I have zero interest in that series.

To be honest: If I'd have a PS4, I'd buy Uncharted 4 right away and wouldn't even think about any other game for a few months. I think it's a really good game, but GTA and Uncharted are just 2 different genres so I doubt many will leave.

 

Another thing is: It appears that for the first 6 months it will only have PvP in it's multiplayer. They only plan to add co-op modes in autumn this year. Which is not the end of the world, Uncharted competitive modes can be a lot of fun, but I always enjoyed the adventure maps and arenas more than playing against people. So for me the game will get a lot better, only at the end of this year unfortunately.

Had this problem as well. It's because you're in vip-modus. You can't reset to the start of the t-trial as well when being a vip. Kinda sucks.

Don't know why, but every car i drive into east LS lsc has a discount on all upgrades. Was caught off guard when i drove my new Lectro in and saw all the options with the discount logo and 50% cheaper. On PS4, definitely worth a look if you need to upgrade anything. Will double check if it was a one time bug when i get home from my folks tonight..

Jesus this community is getting pathetic. Nothing is ever going to make most of y'all happy. Hell R* could give away threesomes with Jessica Alba and Chrissy Teigen to every male player and y'all would still complain. Ladies could get George Clooney and Leonardo DiCaprio or whoever wets your fancy.

 

I paid full price for all the cars that are on sale and it doesn't bother me one bit that the people who don't now have a chance to get them cheaper than what I paid for them. The way I see it I bought the cars when I wanted to buy them and have been able to drive them since so I've gotten my money's worth already. A few weeks back then they had the properties on sale I paid full price for a stilt apartment the day before they announced the sale and it still didn't bother me.

 

This game isn't that important in the grand scheme of things so all you negative Nancy's need to realize that and just appreciate that we are still getting new items and events where items are on sale.

 

You can go ahead and call me a R* fanboy or whatever else clever internet insult you can come up but in reality I can see the game for what it is entertainment that I've paid full price for on two different consoles and still got my money's worth because three years later I still play.

Can't agree with that. Anyone who likes GTA will see GTA as important.

 

As for the event itself, I'm glad that it's helping some people get these cars.

 

On the other hand, I'm a little hungry for some beefy dlc.

I would feel as though to accept an offer like that would be to exploit the women. I would just walk them around and do whatever they wanted to do instead.

I'm really hoping that R* has something really big and great up their sleeve, and that it hits before Memorial Day but I'm not optimistic. Someone made a post in a thread asking if we'll get more heists, and I literally spat out my coffee, damn, that was funny.

The simplest explanation (read; most likely) for the current run of thin content is that the devs are hard at work on something;

 

1) Different title (RDR)

2) SP DLC

3) GTAO DLC, possibly new heists.

 

There's very little ROI in heists given the complexity and manpower (not the least of which is voice acting) so I'd knock that one off. I think SP DLC is the obvious answer, and some of that content might cross over into GTAO.

 

There's no way GTAO is dead. You'd be insane to give up 20% of your revenue especially as all the heavy capital expenditure is out of the way. However, we could be stuck with this sh*tty drag-one-DLC-out-over-3-months routine.

 

Edit; 6 months, if you count LR1 and LR2 together.

This is nothing short of insulting to serious, long-term players. Want a reward? No, we don't want to do that; instead, we're going to make it far easier for crappy players to get the same stuff you busted your arse for! That should really help the game!

 

I do get your point but I'm a day one player, never bought an Osiris, T2 or Zentorno because I love my Cheetah. I just bought a Zentorno though for 370k and when I get home from work I'm gonna LSC that bad boy. I'm kinda digging this weeks offers tbh.

 

Also we all know about the dwindling online numbers as shown on that PC player chart someone posted in another thread earlier but also I've read multiple times on here that an OG player started a second character and found the grinding to be more tedious second time around. This is compounded by the measly payouts for missions compared to what we had the first 6 months or so.

 

All in all I'm ok with lower levels and newbies getting a helping hand with 50% sales. I'd be pissed if they did 50% on yachts though.

I'm hoping for news soon, because too many people are jumping ship. I won't be playing much solo, generally. The discount this week could be a last attempt to drain our banks before something costly comes, or at least I hope so. Would be pissed not to see an update until June or July but that's how it seems now.
