It's sad that contact missions pay so little. The Los Santos Connection takes me about 20 min solo if i dont use shortcuts or a savage. I'll make 18-20k. But if I join a lobby with one or two other players and run Piracy Prevention followed by Executive search and I'll make a little over 50k in about the same time.

Less when you take into account loading screens.

There is litteraly no incentive to do contact missions other that when it's a daily objective.

The problem is, if we complain about it to R* their answer will be to lower the payout on VIP missions instead of increase payout in the contact missions.

How about if a VIP hosts a contact mission and takes his bodyguards with him, the VIP makes 2x the payout and the bodyguards get 1.5x

As a side effect the time in mission counts toward your VIP time limit.

It would be in line with the VIP crap in free roam and get us playing more contact missions.

I think the contact mission payout is just fine.

Want to make a drink / go to the toilet / check your emails? Pack the car and let the timer-based payout system do the work for you. However, going AFK and making other players do the work is wrong, but you can do the missions at your own pace, which is cool.

more contact mission like los santo connection will be great. Fun to play and nice pay out

no hay something, i forget the name of that mission from Gerald is fun also.

i would love to see more contact mission like these, have stages to complete. First rob the coke then find the location then more and more fun

best thing of most of the contact mission, you can do it alone ! and have fun without someone screw you up

Agreed.

The timer based thing was implemented to counteract Kurumas blowing through missions. Sorry, you don't deserve $16k for a two minute job.

For a while it seemed like payouts for missions were reasonable but since the likes of yachts and Benny's it feels like you're getting paid peanuts for them. I mean I like peanuts but they won't pay for that million dollar hydraulics kit.

I'd say about 20% more would be a nice reasonable increase.

Double them all, it got a lot of people playing them during double money & RP on all missions and it was worth it

1/4 to 1/3rd boost at minimum, even if only to make up for the tedium...

Add an extra hard difficulty level and 200% payout.

I think the amount you can earn in game is completely out of balance with the cost of items that have been added since lowriders started. They should double in pay due to inflation.

Ah, yes. Extra hard mode. 100% accurate, infinite range AI with super FMJ wallbang rifles. 6 star wanted levels where all cop cars are replaced with turbo tanks. All AI also wear triple super armor and are immune to headsh*ts and being knocked over.

20-25k flat & not based on time.

So, pretty much double from what it was between patches 1.04 and 1.16.

The Friends in High Places event week was really awesome with the 2x rp and cash bonus, which is why I think a ~50% increase in payout would be good. In addition, how are players who grind who don't purchase shark cards ever going to buy a yacht or a luxor deluxe? Short answer: They won't unless they play 5-6 hours a day everyday, which sucks for the casual gamer.

I personally think mission payouts should've been set to tiers to begin with.

Tier 1, the lowest paying jobs, are the ones that pit you against gangsters, thugs, etc. These would be in the 4k-12k range.

Tier 2 missions would be against the professionals. Little bit higher risk. 12k-20k range.

Tier 3 is cops. 20k-30k range, or more, considering the massive response they're capable of. While east enough to juke, one slip up or wrong turn and you're done.

Tier 4 are the military missuons, like extradition, base invaders, on maneuvers, the toughest of qhich nets you like 50k.

Have the tiers iverlap as well, so the highest paying tier 1 pays better than the lowest tier 2. And, finally, to prevent tier 4 spam, make missions non repeatable until a tier refresh, and make it so that you can only do each tier x number of times an hour. So. If you burn through your tier 4 "tokens", you now have to settle for tier 3 for an hour, or tier 2 if you manage to burn through all those too. The hourly allotment of "tokens" would be based on the number of missions in that tier, so you can't do them all each time. Maybe 1 or 2 less, with infinite tier 1 and 2 tokens so low level players don't get entirely shafted.

But that's just my idea.

Also, fml I hate this phone.

Actually, that's not a bad idea. Now I'm starting to wish that's how we have the jobs payout, even though I like grinding Trash Talk.

It's not the payouts that are the problem, it's the timer. There should be a minimum payout of at least $10k for every mission regardless of how quickly it's done. Have a timer sure, but it needs to be tweaked a couple of notches.

Well, from my standpoint, 25% - 50% would be nice but I say this mostly because I like to play alone. I have been playing missions since day one and grinding for cash is something most of us need to do if you like to buy stuff but at some point it just kills the mood for me. This would be a game changer, but I don't think R* has the express need or desire to do so.

The game rewards you more for playing with others (multiplayer) but we have to remember that this is GTA Online and not GTA Multiplayer and its not a requirement to play with others on many things but it is a requirement to have an internet connection.

However, this is the path that has been currently set on the game by its developers. Be it as it may, I would love a payout buff as many would, but I don't think it will happen on its own. This is one of the things I want to send at the R* mouthoff so it can maybe happen one day.

Remember that the change *can* be on your hands by sending it to R* on a non-spammy basis!

It's not the payouts that are the problem, it's the timer. There should be a minimum payout of at least $10k for every mission regardless of how quickly it's done. Have a timer sure, but it needs to be tweaked a couple of notches.

This is a good workaround, setting a base payout regardless on time but rather that base payout depending on the level requirement for that mission, but that base getting a minimum of 10K unlike the current base payouts being so low. Edited by rodrich266

I think the payout is fine for missions. Seriously if only R* stopped wasting their time and resources on adversary modes and instead added more contacts missions...

Keep the current pay based on the current time to complete formula and then add $10,000 to whatever the pay is. Yea lots of players grinding Blowup, but so what!

I voted same, but it should be more per minute, let me explain.

They need to remove that sh*tty increase every 2 minutes and come back to a fixed base payout (with bonuses for full games and stuff) let the players be rewarded with their 'skill' and not just having to wait 4 or 6 minutes most of the time to achieve better money per minute.

they also need to implement a leaderboard that include best time, so competition could rage on every mission, just like they did on 3 (yes only 3 ) misison back in gta IV, of course cheaters would flood that leaderboard, but who cares, legit players will know who is who at some point.

In my opinion, contact missions pay out relatively low now compared to VIP missions, where you don't have to wait for loading screens and such. I think there should be a boost to the rp and cash payout of missions, but I was curious of your guys' take on the whole thing.

Personally I think they works the way they are now. When playing solo I tend to get 9K for completing them in 4 minutes. This translates to almost 120K an hour. Which happens to be the same if you ran Sightseer for an hour (22K every 10 minutes). Or close to what you could make running Heists. Do this with friends and you can get ~14-15K a mission or 200K an hour.

This makes it to where no matter the activity I know I'm going to make a consistent amount of money and I don't have to worry about only participating in high paying activities.

I generally sell a Baller, run Sightseer, do two missions, Sightseer, two missions....... and make great money. Comes out to roughly 150K an hour solo. So a million every 6-7 hours or 66 hours to get the most expensive yacht tricked out with all the options. I've had worse grinds (World of Tanks, Elite Dangerous, Ark, Destiny, etc).

There should be structure to it. $1000 for every tenth level required to unlock it. So something unlocks at level 80, the base rate is $8000. Add in payout for what you encounter in order to finish. $1000 per enemy, $1500 per cop, $2000 per enemy ground vehicle, $5000 per enemy air vehicle. And a bonus for not dying, bonus for finishing fast, bonus for not damaging vehicles Simeon wants...etc.... Now amounts can vary from one difficulty to the next and may need adjusted, but this makes more sense.

And anything requiring me to enter Zancudo should be a minimum $40k, no one is breaking into a military base for $15k
