What is there to do in GTA Online?

I've stopped playing GTA Online for 6 months, and now that i just returned to playing, it immediately turned into cancer.

I don't know what to do in the game, i just drive around trying to avoid those "edgy teenagers" trying to kill me all the time as well as doing the checkpoint missions which are relatively easy.

What can i do in GTA Online to have some actual fun?

I'll second this. Something I'd recommend now that the game has been out for so long - is recruit outside of the game. GTA focused forums, reddit, etc.

 

The reason I say this is I could never keep any group going from just meeting people in-game. Every group of 'regulars' I went through quit playing, or play hardly at all, and eventually I followed suit by moving on or back to other games.

 

Good luck though! Even Contact missions are a blast with a regular group, because you can all agree to do crazy sh*t like 'Revolvers, Pump Shotguns, and Motorcycles only' or at least keep the challenge level moderate by agreeing to use no special vehicles.

this is the truth. I only play when my friends are on these days. But we are friends on facebook and have a group chat for our crew. We interact as much or more through the chat more than the game these days. And we are able to coordinate getting online all together on the weekends. Or a couple of us that are home through the day might get on during the week. Having friends definatly makes the game more fun. Especially if you are also good friends outside of the game. We joke around constantly via messanger through the week, then get online on the weekend for some rockets vs. Insurgents, or some jet action, or whatever else we're into at the moment.

Accept one of the many invites you receive and see what happens. Driving about aimlessly will only get you shot at.

Hey soda what platform do you play gta on? Ye i have the same issue with noobs killing me all the time even when i just exit my appartment bang I'm dead lol i mainly do missions and try get my stats up I'm only level 34 at the moment!!! They need to ad abit more ingame lol think I'm asking to.much though

Free Mode Events and VIP Missions.

 

Try to actively take part on most of those, for me it least, I had one of my best experiences in gaming with those, they are a perfect mix of objective based gameplay and absolute chaos and mayhem, truly something that belongs into a Grand Theft Auto.

 

I would say though, that Free Mode Events are the better from the two, since those have less spawn camping and are better in design in general but all in all both are very good activities in the game.

 

Try to open an Organization and search for a 30 player lobby, invite everyone in the Lobby as a Bodyguard, once you have 3 Bodyguards, go gather them with a Buzzard and after that it is all up to you.

 

Aproach an opposing Organization with a VIP Deathmatch, start a VIP Mission or if an active Free Mode Event is running(not a challenge) something like Moving Target or King of the Castle, aproach it with your Organization you will experience a very fun and chaotic shootout, chase accros the highway etc. if the stars allign and more people join in to fight you.

The game doesn't turn to cancer, the players do.

 

And if you've just returned and are asking what's to do, perhaps you should just go back under the bed where it was safe and free of "edgy teenagers."

Seriously, this is an unnecessary thread, what with ALL the great threads about what there is to do in GTAO.
