Exposives in Criminal Damage and Ideas on Causing Destruction

I feel bad for the people who do this to "make money" and not to just have fun blowing stuff up for 7 minutes.

I do it mainly for money and its not as bad as you'd think. Usually 2 min of destruction in hydra is enough to rack up 2-4 millions in destruction. Most of the time that is enough to win. There is no way to make money faster then this thing.

I was in the airport when CD started a while back and got five shamals, a titan and a cargobob.

 

I wasn't even trying and 7 grenades won me the pot.

The jet is better than the tank for this. Get in hover mode and spray the highway. You can even blast to a spot far away from others so you aren't interrupted. And if somebody gets butthurt at how high your score is it'll take awhile for them to come get out.

 

At least Insurance is disabled for this though so if somebody in a super tries stickying your tank you won't lose profit.

What i do is drive between vinewood blvd and the horse track in a supercar. Keep calling pegasus. Chuck a sticky on your 1st peagasus vehicle then call for a diff one it spawns at the other spawn blow up current (old) pegasus vehicle and rinse and repeat

You don't do that, because there's a five minute cooldown on Pegasus vehicles while Criminal Damage is happening.

 

EDIT - Unless the cooldown initiates when the vehicle is actually destroyed? If so, you're kind of an evil genius.

For me, nothing beats a Savage in Criminal Damage. Just go down a few streets and tear everything to pieces.

It may be that the cooldown only kicks off if you destroy the vehicle (without replacing it first by calling Pegasus again) or if you get in it. Otherwise they let you call Pegasus as much as you want, assuming you're just trying to respawn it at a more convenient location, or call a different vehicle. Interesting way to game the system there, I'll definitely be trying this. If you can call Pegasus again w/ no cooldown, then the vehicle you just replaced would just be sitting there as an inactive, unusable vehicle, and no longer counted as being yours anymore - but still able to be destroyed for lots of money.

 

Doing this with buses, or at the airport with high-end planes, would be a sleazy way to rack up large amount of damage in a hurry. With a VIP-spawned Buzzard, you could quickly fly back and forth and waste no ammo, as well.

get a tank park on a highway and shoot at all oncoming traffic untill the wrecked cars build up and causes traffic to slow down and blast all the vehicles on their way. easy money.

They should have called criminal damage pegasus vehicle damage since they normally are the way to win. I actually get a use for my tank so I use it every time for a quick win.

5-destroy the plane you have infront of you for a nice score.

6-rinse and repeat

the moment you do step 4 the vehicle infront of you is not yours, so you can destroy it without getting pegasus cooldown

 

But everytime I've been killed in or accidentally destroyed my vehicle, I can't order another one. Unless it works if you don't enter it?

Hydra is an instant win if you can fly. I fly around the coast highway in a continuous s shape shooting every car I see, mostly in the oncoming lane because you'll shoot more cars.

Always go against traffic. I usually don't fly in normal mode. I fly in hover mode for CD

I just get in my Hydra and strafe up and down the GOH. I don't have to worry about sticky bombing my plane, I usually crash and kill myself halfway through

I tried the Pegasus trick today, and it worked, but over half the time my dumb planes wouldn't spawn. That's a problem I've had often at the airport (even though I was there by myself). Very annoying. Ultimately I didn't score very high because of it. Next time i might try it in the city, with buses.

 

I must say too that 1.5 million per minute or so isn't even that great, unless you're augmenting it with other destruction. I get 6-8 million pretty routinely just by doing Hydra strafing over the highways.

Plus i like to cause a traffic jam while it counts down then it jumps up to 1 million when it starts and if can stay in the same spot all the small piles of cash left behind is a small bonus

When I see the Criminal Damage countdown I get my Hydra and as soon as the event starts I crash that bad boy ...1.3 million straight away. Then I use my VIP status to order my Buzzard for free and kill that too. After that its all about the freeway but I rarely need to do much more to win.

Why would you do that? The smart play if you're a VIP:

1. Get Hydra

2. Spawn Buzzard nearby

3. Blow up Buzzard as soon as the event starts

4. Use Hydra to rack up massive score

5. Crash Hydra right before the event ends, if you need more of a cushion (you probably won't)

 

You might win in some lobbies doing what you described above, but you'd never beat me doing that. The Hydra is the most effective Criminal Damage destruction machine - use it before you blow it up.

I haven't done this in the current gen game yet, but I already have a nice strategy for this event:

 

-Call for hydra;

-Go to the highway that goes between the horsetrack and Vinewood;

-keep hovering and deploy the landing gear for better stability;

-Alternatively you can land it on a slope, but make sure you got the crosshair on the roads, I prefer to remain in flight so I can steer and aim the plane easier(it's also faster to getaway if somebody comes to kill you);

-Rain down hell on NPC traffic for the duration of the event;

-Once there's only 30 second left, land the jet and blow it up for some extra points;

 

You've just earned $30K with a loss of only $450, looks good in my book.

That's incorrect. There's no "despawn" of explosives and they only disappear when you die.

 

The other day I planted a proximity mine near LSC to catch my prey, but he exited the other way before I could rig the other end. Half-an-hour later, 'Jenkiiii killed playerX'. After checking the map, playerX was driving in and out of LSC.

hydra to the army base. destroy as much as possible and then crash the hydra. costs $200. wins the challenge 80% of the time millions ahead of anyone else.

 

the rest of the time the game is bugged and wont spawn dick, someone else is already at the army base, pegasus is being a dick and recalls your hydra when you get to it, or there is a crew of players all calling pegasus and letting one of them blow everything up. i actually beat a crew of players that were doing that. its fun to talk smack after you out play a crew of 5 and win the challenge on your own.

 

and i call bullsh*t on the non-despawning explosives. nothing more annoying then having the radio change stations instead exploding those sticky bombs you just dropped.

Proximity mines don't despawn when you die, stickies do. Only thing that despawn a prox is going into an LSC (or leaving the session).

 

Pegasus bypass + buses + VIP buzzard FTW by the way.

Personally - I mostly do free roam events for the competition, not the cash. What can I say, I like winning.

I do felt like something changed some time ago. Although prox mines sometimes do despawn on death, but not always. Really annoying during Piracy Prevention.

 

Now I can place 5 mines on a busy road when someone's chasing me and for some reason most of the time NPC vehicles don't trigger them when me or other players are still in the area. Ofcourse, once you get far enough away and other players are also gone near it, no NPC cars will spawn till another player comes near again, and that can easily be an hour later and they can trigger the mine. I have had plenty of kills like that.

 

One time I was in a chopper flying not very high and far away from a road I put a mine on and saw a bounty driving there and he got killed by the mine and I got the bounty lol.

 

Another time I killed a guy with a bounty 2-3 times with mines but obviously I didn't got the bounty and that player ended up leaving. Broken game be broken.

so I started doing this

 

Just land my Jet on a flat plane near the highway (far enough away from the road so the npcs don't inevitably kamikaze me) and just hold down X the entire time, could easily go afk if you can rubberband X down to keep firing the cannons. I noticed however, that if I ever so often look to the right and to the left the traffic comes to a stand still until I actually look at them and then they start moving forward so I'm sure you could make more cash if you look around more often.

 

note: I didn't start gunning right off the bat, I should have probably blown up the Hydra and also I moved my Jet at one point so it took me a bit to get at the right angle again. I'm sure you could easily break 8mill like this every time, and since you're at the top of the map most people will either not be near you or notice you at all so you should remain relatively safe.
