Exposives in Criminal Damage and Ideas on Causing Destruction

I'm wondering if you can have active c4s, sticky bombs, and proximity mines simultaneously. I plan to go around and place them in the usual spawn points for aircraft at the LS Airport and use a titan to make titans spawn at the airbase, get a Lazer there and continuously kill the titans as they will continue to spawn indefinitely. I basically want to know how many active explosives one can have at once and how long they usually last. Also, if you have ideas you want to share about Causing destruction in unique ways, please share them below. Don't hesitate to tell me your Criminal Damage record as well.

max stickies is 5, it may be 5 for all explosives you can deploy too.

5 active explosives at one time i think. If u walk away They usually last 15 minutes before they despawn. If placed on an npc car then the car wont despawn until the explosive does.

Yeah they do. Theres always 3 little planes that spawn at airport if u keep driving up and down. If your at the airport before the event starts then all the planes will be there. Earning you a quick million or 2

RPGs and stickies are useful for quick results but these days I usually rely on the chaingun.

 

I found that blowing up a single aircraft isn't as effective as causing chaos on the freeways too... pick your location though, some areas spawn more cars than others. If you can block the lanes with burning vehicles, others blow themselves up trying to push through. Fire Engines will arrive soon afterward and they're worth a decent amount each time

 

Also, if buses are spawning downtown during Criminal Damage, they should be considered prime targets. They're worth $300K each and there's often a lot of them in close proximity.

I usually try to find buses if I'm just driving around and sticky them. If you find one, they'll keep spawning when driving back and forth the same road.

Go to downtown near eclipse towers in a super car and sticky bomb every car, npc, player in sight; no mercey. Open ammo menu and rinse and repeat.

 

Don't use tanks, slows you down to much. If the spawn rate is low where you are leave the area and come back.

 

If you want it set to easy get a lazer/hydra and carpet bomb downtown los santos.

I prefer the Hydra as it allows me to get away from anyone attempting to ruin my fun! But I do enjoy using the tank occasionally.

As above, 5 explosives is the max (not 5 of each type). Proximity mines will stay where you leave them until they explode. Sticky bombs disappear when you get about a block away from them.

 

My advice is to get a Hydra and chuck a sticky bomb on it. Then go looking for buses, or other players in Rhinos or Hydras. If you get even the slightest bit concerned about someone destroying your Hydra then detonate the sticky, but if you get down to the last 10 seconds or so and you're still going then detonate it anyway.

not close enough to helipads, call tank, go in tunnel next to beach, scrub in hydra goes off radar and tries to "sneak" into the one opening I'm firing at, blast him.

same scenario but this time the tank is next to the greyhound bus terminal, just park tank under the overpass next to freeway, never manage to hit the Jet attacking but he never managed to hit me either :\

Hydra is an instant win if you can fly. I fly around the coast highway in a continuous s shape shooting every car I see, mostly in the oncoming lane because you'll shoot more cars.

or I just fly down the freeway spraying cannons and win, ignoring the clearly hiding tank (assuming I didn't kill it at the spawn)

you can use explosives if you play to win but not to make a profit.

 

you can go to fort zancudo and simply target all the fuel tankers and other trucks that spawn around that area, they give a nice score.

 

or you can do what pros do

 

1-go to airport

2-call for pegasus plane(hydra/gold plane recommended)

3-drive to the plane

4-call pegasus and request the plane again

5-destroy the plane you have infront of you for a nice score.

6-rinse and repeat

I get my tank near Eclipse Towers block the road for about 20 seconds before it starts and stay on that road I have never lost doing that. I think it's night time that road gets really busy.

Using personal weapons/ammo is a massive waste of money and you probably won't win anyway, because somebody smarter than you is using a tank or Hydra. Personally I go Hydra - you can kill the tank guys for easy bonus money (and to stop them from racking up a higher score, which is a nice benefit too). But if you're in a lobby where no one has a jet, the tank is fine. Just go to one of the busy intersections in Vinewood, or the freeway just north of Del Perro, and you can blow up lots of nice cars there.

 

If you find yourself tankless or Hydraless due to circumstances, my next recommendation is go stand at one of the aforementioned locations with a minigun, and just spray cars as they drive toward you. After you blow up a few you'll create a giant logjam and start destroying dozens of cars. If you HAVE to use your own ammo, this is a much better way to go than stickies, prox mines, or rockets, all of which cost too much to be worth it.

 

And whoever first said buses - yes, they're the best if you can find them. My best Criminal Damage score was almost 10 million, and I got a lot of that off buses that kept spawning up and down the freeway.

I can blow stuff up anytime I want. And usually do. But if I can also make 30 grand in the process, AND blow stuff up, why not?

 

Personally - I mostly do free roam events for the competition, not the cash. What can I say, I like winning.

You can only call one pegasus vehicle during Criminal Damage.follow the instructions and you would see.

 

you dont destroy the vehicle while it still active as yours.

 

hence steps 4.

 

the moment you do step 4 the vehicle infront of you is not yours, so you can destroy it without getting pegasus cooldown

My tecnique is to call up my Rhino and head to the nearest highway. Then 20 seconds before the event ends I get out and toss a couple stickies on it adding another 750,000 (i think) to the tally.

 

Alternatively you could land a Hydra/Savage/buzzard in direct line of an intersection and open up with the canons. Downside is npcs getting too close and blowing you up in the collateral explosion.

 

I do these methods because I don't use my ammo. Refilling the RPG and Grlnchr and some stickies and you're lucky if you even made a profit.

Be a VIP and request a Buzzard before it starts, then 2 more during the challenge (2 min cooldown) easy 2,25m score.

Not sure if it works well when you use a jet but when you use a tank it adds up nicely.
