How much longer will you play GTA: Online?

Well you could just say that about anything. "Should I buy a new game that comes out tomorrow? No because I might be dead, better not buy anything ever again." The question is; how much time do you spend in GTA, and expand on how much time in the future you see yourself playing GTA. Not a difficult question.

 

For a lot of people it seems like they will only stop playing once the next GTA comes out, so for at least another 2-5 years they expect to keep playing this game. Which is interesting, because there is a lot of hate for this game at the same time.

I haven't went online on current-gen since they patched VIP outfits yet again. If a game is patching clothing items that actually are interesting and add some variety instead of patching invisible outfits, wallbreaches or other glitches that actually do harm to the game then the game is probably not worth my time. Will log in again when they actually release an update that isn't a car variant or another bullsh*t Adversary Mode.

 

Assuming the game won't have an ending like this (Adversary Modes, rehashed content, idiotic decisions when it comes to patching stuff) then I'll likely play until the end.

Until the servers get shut down. I have never loved a game as much as I love this one whenever I'm playing another game I usually switch it off after a couple of hours and go back to GTA.

To be fair to the game, almost three years of age can do that to a game. It doesn't help that they're not releasing anything worth logging on for though. Not to mention they sucked the fun out of certain areas of the game (sniping with the marksman rifle/moving while sniping), helicopters (guess what with?), fighting in general with that stupid bullet proof helmet. Oh, and the Hydra (cool as it is) has made the game packed full of jets almost everywhere.

 

Why I come on here? To criticize the mistakes they've made, to put forward ideas, spread information, take part in elimination games, etc., look out for those who've been cool to me; that kind of thing.

Wow. A well thought out and nicely discussed post from the helicopter guy. I'm glad at least someone understand the game is nearly 3 years old at this point, I think people expect new DLC to be coming out all the time, and not bringing in new stuff is putting people off. Maybe Rockstar should have limited the releases over larger time scales, combine 2 DLC releases into 1 over a few months of development.

I don't seem to fit any of the categories in your poll at the present time as I would be playing but I'm not because my brain has become tired

of the same old same old so I've stopped regular play but up to this week have still been logging in from time to time.

 

Reality is there is nothing that generates interest for me to play at the moment, I really want to see something like the excutives and other thugs

trailer that makes me think it will be fun to come back and see what's new but reality is that if I'm bored with something I move on and I seem

to have reached that stage just now.

I generally play 2-3 hours daily during the workweek, and 4-6 hours daily on the weekend. However, I'm planning to cut this back sharply if there is no update in the next two-three weeks.

My friends have mostly stopped playing, and playing by myself just gets boring too quickly. Most players you find are very unimaginative and just want to fight in free roam so even free roaming is pretty boring.

 

I used to do a lot of racing, but that's losing its charm as Rockstar continue to f*ck up the classes and my racing crew never seem to be racing when I'm on (instead just arguing over some bullsh*t about someone wrecking someone or talking about stupid ponies) so I just end up racing against randoms and it's not really enough to log in for anymore.

 

The more negative part of me sorta wonders what the point is anymore. Free aim is mostly dead, auto aim is terribly boring. People don't even play half of the modes, and when they do it's usually a pack of c*nts who find some way to ruin it by using the cheapest tactics they can come up with or just quit out when they start to lose causing the match to abort. Missions are getting so old, and I've done them damn near every way you can by now.

 

Despite those things though, just about every time I turn the game on I can find something to appreciate, whether it's the view from my apartment or a cruise around in my Vigero or trying to keep friends floating longer by shooting their parachute with the minigun or Cargobobing something someplace it shouldn't be or whatever.

 

Until they come out with something significant though... I can get my racing in Forza and my shooting in The Division (even though that game is pretty f*cked).

Honestly, I sure hope something big is coming. I've had a torrid love affair with this game since it's release, but now I find myself logging on more out of habit than anything. I'll log on, drive around a bit, then wonder wtf I'm doing on as I feel uninspired to do anything. I really feel this game dying for me, and I'm bitter R* didn't do more with it.

I'll play it for a long time yet, but less than I used to. It's not just about the game, but the socializing also. I only really play on weekend evenings now, but do enjoy still when I do.

When the game was still new I had days when I literally played like 12 hours. One year into the game I played 2 hours per day on average. Nowadays I only play with a friend. At this point the quality of new DLC's will determine my future in this game. My interest is now finally moving towards other games such as The Witcher and Uncharted. I think the only DLC that will secure this game's future for me is the opening of the casino and map expansions.

Until GTA 6 or the next Saints Row.

I've been playing less than usual though, Adversary and Lowrider crap ruin the mood. I like new content to help the game stay fresh. A vehicle I'll actually use..... I do use the Donks as it's the closest thing I can have to a PV Monster Truck but everything else feels like reskins except for Banshee/Sultan THOSE were the best Benny's upgrades.

 

 

And nobody plays Adversary sh*t. R* should stop making them and make what people want; Missions, Heists, SP DLC... COPS AND CROOKS
