What Will Get You To Play Jobs More?

Before the 'Executives and Other Criminals' update, I used to go into game modes to make money, and pop back into freemode to have fun.

 

With the new(ish) VIP mode we can now do both of these things in freemode - make money AND have fun, which is why so many of us are having problems getting people to join jobs. The adversary modes have exasperated many people because they suffer from low payout AND poor matchmaking, but that's due to two factors: the games don't take very long to complete, hence the low payout, and other people are doing other things.

 

Rockstar can resolve this by integrating game modes INTO freemode in a seamless fashion. Possibly the future of GTA online.

I don't have matchmaking issues.

So you always get full up deathmatches, captures etc.?

Haven't played capture in a long time. DMs are always double figures.

 

Go try some more gamemodes, they'll either remain empty or take an hour to fill up. Agree to disagree. I think it's the community.

 

The community is only part of the problem, the way lobbies fill up is backwards and stupid. But yeah no point trying to get anything across to you, you're under the impression that you can either suck on rockstars fat dick or you can hate the game, there's no inbetween. So yeah agree to disgagree, no more discussion, you go back to sh*tposting.

It seems like Rockstar has made some moves to add a few little new minigames to freeroam. I agree with you that seamless freeroam events are a good thing, with potential, and without the ridiculous matchmaking problems. Only trouble is that griefers can interfere.

More cash definitely.I can find people to join my lobby but getting 13k for completing Hard Labor is a bit frustrating

Seriously, I did 4-5 missions acting freely with my weapons last night and walked out with $23k. I went for a smoke, got some snacks and when I joined the next mission I filled back up my ammo from those past 4-5 missions, for $16k.... You do the math

 

Still had fun but yea, more cash might help

It's because you get a little more your first play thru and all contact jobs' payout is affected by number of players, difficulty and time taken to complete. The longer the time spent, the higher the payout.

Higher payouts would bring contact missions back to life for me. As of right now with the ever increasing prices, missions just don't cut it. Better matchmaking will probably save minutes, too. Both.

I say pay better for all and I mean all PvP so people are more inclined to play, those who are forgotten should pay better than those who are more popular now, but all those modes should get a raise. Apart from that the proverbial "fix the matchmaking" should be applied if possible

To answer the question: new contact/VIP missions. This is the elephant in the room at Rockstar North.

 

To answer the poll: better matchmaking. We've had several double money/RP events over past 12 months. They're helpful but they don't really move the needle in terms of enjoyment. Better matchmaking would benefit every game mode overall. More people + less lag = more competition, which is fun. In addition, better matchmaking will be crucial long term as the playerbase dwindles.

 

I do think the payouts should be increased across the board, however. If it were up to me, I'd like to have both, tbh.

More jobs and a higher payout. And no bullsh*t algorithm of giving less money for less time spent. Dare to say that they should just bring back non-changing payouts. Just they should think about some missions that were ignored back in the day, like Death From Above. Didn't play it back in the day, but heard the payout was peanuts. Was not worth the hassle.

 

If you complete Base Invaders you should get more money than for completing Rockford Roll. Now it's just "complete the easiest missions" cause no matter what you complete you get almost the same amount of cash. Takes away the incentive of working harder.

 

Oh, what also would be cool is that if they could use new interiors and rarely used places. I'm tired of shootouts on generic warehouses, give me something at the airport, or in Paleto Bay. Or even North Yankton. Or they could reuse SP interiors, like slaughterhouse, foundry, coroner's office, etc., etc.

 

Also, the enemies could be tweaked a bit. Less health, less enemies, but better AI and better guns. Like in Max Payne 3. Tear gas or grenades to flush players out, rocket launchers to flush choppers out, snipers to deal with players who sit from afar and don't move. Reward people who actually think better than those simply using their biggest guns and/or using their tanks, Insurgents and Kurumas.

 

Then I would play jobs.

Race payouts need to be increased. I'm not playing heists etc for my main income.

 

Matchmaking is fine. Users on the other hand may not be.
