Did Free Aim/Free Aim (Partial) get server changes?

I recently noticed larger numbers of players in sessions in those servers. Did R* do something, and is free aim now combined with auto aim?

Free Aim and Free Aim - Assisted are grouped together, Assisted Aim - Partial and Assisted Aim - Full are grouped together.

 

I am Free Aim die hard, assisted aim is like drinking water with a fork.

Pretty sure you could choose one aim assist in free aim lobbies, which is a shame IMO. That's nothing new though. As for the player count I also notice I'm being placed in jam-packed free aim lobbies more often (on PC), I have a feeling the recent maintenance closed / decreased the number of matchmaking servers so we're being placed in less lobbies, therefore the ones we end up in have more players. Since the maintenance I've had to switch lobbies a couple times just to re-join my friends because I was placed in totally full lobbies, that had never happened at all before the most recent maintenance.

They can't combine free aim and auto aim because the auto aim players would never stand for the skill-less explosive wars that take place in free aim, where people can run freely in the streets, laughing, as everyone misses them, spraying bullets everywhere but the target.

No, the maintanance has not had any changes regarding Matchmaking or servers.

 

The only thing that could change Matchmaking around without an Update, are tuneable, and those have not been updated since like a week ago, and nothing Matchmaking related there either.

Only thing Matchmaking related which was updated in the tuneable was about 4 weeks ago, that disabled the "Language_bias", variable, which allows players to be matched with people outside their game copy language.

Yeah, people just use RPGs all day, unlike in the virtuous auto-aim lobbies. Loooool.

The maintanance changed nothing noticeable, all it did was either update Social Club software, or prepare for a new system coming in future Updates.

BTW... Sorry to derail but did you hear anything about San Fiero recently? I know it's a vague question that probably belongs in the next DLC thread but since you've been replying so quick I figured I 'd ask. I'm just wondering because some dude in game told me that GTA 6 will be announced soon and it's in San Fiero. Didn't think much about it until now but it sounds more like a big DLC than the next full instalment, if there's any truth to it at all.

It is a 100% FAKE leak, it was faked by a Youtuber called "XXII" he used Unreal Engine(a game engine) to recreate certain parts of San fiero and certain vehicles, it is 100% fake though.

I'm reporting from X360 Free Aim universe : I've lost the only player I had in my deathmatch lobby few minutes ago,no players in sight.No races,no deathmatches except a 999999999999999$ one with only 1 player;the host.Simply a ghost town.

 

Today,I gave auto-aim a chance and joined a server.I invited a motherf*cker from my country for a freeroam combat.I took cover behind a wall,he started rolling himself on the ground,aimed and rained a clip on the wall.Such an explosion of laughter,bastard didn't even realise he was fighting the wall,he probably didn't ever use right stick in this game,he f*cking DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO USE IT!Game aims for him.
