The GTA next Anti-Wishlist

Piggsy pls

Definitely no jetpack. People talk about V's story being over the top, but the moment I had to steal a jetpack from an Area 51 parody, and later use it to steal "green goo", was, and will hopefully remain, the most ridiculously over the top part of any GTA game. Until jetpacks become a common part of everyday life, I never want to see that sh*t in a GTA game again.

- Saints Row-esque sh*t
- Short and rushed storyline
- Quick save
- Locked interors

I agree with all what you said except the third point. What's wrong with quick save? I personally don't see anything wrong with it.

I understand why people like it, but I just personally don't like the idea of being able to save wherever and whenever you want. I miss having to go back to your safehouse to save.

It makes safehouses feel even more useless now that quicksave is a thing.

- no characters that do wathever they want. I don't want to find someone naked in the mountain if i forget to play as him for a while. And don't change my clothes!

- no more stupid ending. Find scraps in the sea for 10 dollars? Bring weed left and right for a "sorry i forgot to wake up" ? Give me some reward!!!

- no more mkdern times... i miss the past settings (the setting in mafia III looks cooler than gta v)

I wouldn't like seeing a very poor/glitchy car storing mechanism. For example, in IV often NPCs would push your vehicles out of the yellow area or cops would steal them. I lost Bernie's Infernus like this and I had to reload the save to get back a lot of other vehicles.

I wouldn't like seeing Online-exclusive content.

I wouldn't like having too many different weapons of the same type if we can't store them somewhere/organize the weapon wheel HOWEVER we want.

I wouldn't like having to stare at any clouds again. Ever.

I wouldn't like seeing cars that only ever spawn in one specific mission. It's okay that some cars have special paintjobs during missions and similar things, but if a car is only available during that mission and doesn't spawn outside of it, it's very pointless to have it in the game.

I would HATE losing my weapons/ammo every time I die. It's ok if I lose my ammo while getting busted though, it makes a lot more sense, but in some 3D era games for example, you'd lose all your weapons and ammo when you died, meaning you'd have to spend a few minutes buying/collecting ammo somewhere on the map just to do the next mission and die again. So frustrating.

Maps with outlandishly large amounts of water. Please utilize the map better than that. GTA V was awful for that

Not having a weapon storage system when owning weapons like in V

Cash cards

Mission specific vehicles (i.e. the cargoplane, McGill Olsen Bison, etc)

Ifruit. Such a terrible application. Just give us a plate text editor.

Crew colours. Also very stupid to have to completely quit the game to change crew colours. Just give us a rgb editor in game

I would really hate to see:

- Multiple protagonists

- Rushed and short storyline

- Too much focus on multiplayer

- Yoga (oh god)

- Guns that feel like toys

- Multiple endings. They worked in IV, but V, not so much.

- Car handling that feels like an arcade game

- Pre-order "exclusive" in-game bonuses. Remember those good times when pre-order bonus was Vice City, not some guns, cars or blimp in the sky?

- Multiplayer exclusive vehicles, missions, features (don't care for clothes, tatoos etc. though)

- Vladivostok FM from GTA 4

- Radio LS from GTA 5

- Dubstep / trap / arena house / "progressive" trance music (or "music")

- High life

- YOGA

- Half-an-hour button smashing triathlons.

- Single-player exclusive features unless technically impossible to code it into multiplayer (missed subways, cable cars in GTA 4 MP)

- Awesome but scripted stuff which happens only in 1 mission (and heavily being advertised before game's release)

- Same with interiors which only available in 1 mission

- No roof access for skyscrapers. Easily doable but somehow overlooked. I'm talking about ALL skyscrapers, outside of skydiving missions.

- 100% mission checklists

- 100% completion from GTA V - you don't have to collect everything, complete all missions for it. Stupid

- Cops hearing silencers.

- Cops detecting your precise location high in the mountains, in the desert or in the sea in freeroam but mysteriously not giving a s**t about mass shooting in Downtown in a mission.

- Dumbed down game. Watch "GTA IV better than GTA V" video for example

-RPG elements. I find it strange to to have these in a game where the protagonist should already be proficiently skilled. It was sh*t in San Andreas as CJ felt like a complete n00b. The guy stole f*cking cars for Joey Leone and had a crappy driving skill when he came back? WTF? Did he forget how to drive or something?

I suppose it wasn't too bad in GTA V seeing as the trio had reasonable skills anyway that could be built on, but personally I think this should stay in games like the Fallout series, Elder Scrolls etc where the protagonists are usually blank states.

-Forced restrictions in missions. It may sound picky, but I hate how in GTA V there are instances where you can't even pull out the phone until the game lets you. Makes no sense really.

-I honestly don't want to see ambulance, firefighting missions etc to come back ever. Sometimes I give GTA V flack for not having enough crime related side missions then again these were hardly the epitome of "crime" either. So f*ck them.

-Open map from the start. Well to be fair GTA V's geography kind of made it impossible to be locked, but I hope this isn't a regular thing from now on. I miss having the map slowly unlocking from progression of the story.

-Too many weapons that all do the same thing. I don't mind having a variety of different weapons to choose from, but do we really need a handful of pistols, shotguns etc? Two from each category should be the limit IMO. It might give some more of the gimmicky type weapons more value and presence too.

-Locked interiors after missions. This has been plaguing the series for a while now do yeah I hope no interiors get locked after mission completion.

-Excellent vehicle customising, but not enough garage space. I love the custominsing in GTA V, but the lack of storage space still annoys me after all this time. If you're going to make the effort giving us such great customising why not give us adequate storage space to enjoy our custom rides aswell?

That's all for now.

I don't want a forgettable storyline.

I don't want a Online-Focused game.

I don't want an anti-SP patch where the online-only DLC is locked.

The guy stole f*cking cars for Joey Leone and had a crappy driving skill when he came back? 02

CJ surely didn't have crappy driving skill. By default, CJ can drive cars easily without any troubles. The "vehicle skill" simply allows CJ to become more "skilled" with different types of vehicles making them more responsive to turn more sharply and handle more easily and other changes that gradually develop based on the "distance covered", that means not suddenly able to drive [ unlocking a skill ], but improving the default skill, spending good amount of time driving the different types of vehicle.

CJ was in car theft business but that doesn't mean every one Joey employed was a skilled driver. All Joey cares about are the stolen cars brought to him by CJ, and doesn't require CJ to be some expert driver in order to survive in the business of car thefts, which generally occur at nights when thieves just speed off and CJ can certainly drive to get the job done fast enough.

He was still quite young during his stay in LC. Its only when he returns to LS that he considers to further improve his skills because now he has to deal with much serious business and not a matter of simply doing crimes for a living.

- Don't bring another GTA protagonist back and if you do, don't kill him off because you think your GTA game is not shocking and edgy enough.

- Insta-kill cougars.

- Drivers that drive like they stole their license from someone else.

- This weapon:

no dumbed down shooting or driving mechanics

no online or shark cards

no trevor

no mediocre story

no bad AIs

no tennis, yoga or stock market

no trevor

no multiple protagonists (i'd rather have to look after one protagonist than three)

no enemy NPCs with terminator aim (including cops, gangsters, etc)

no annoying police car ramming the back of your supercar even though your car is way faster

no idiotic restrictions like not being able to pull out a weapon in your house, michael not being able to change shoes without it changing to his default suit, failing the mission because you went too far away, etc.

NO TREVOR

no lack of criminal side activities

no bringing in a f*ck-ton of characters from a past GTA for no reason

NO TREVOR

no pedestrians that die within literally one gunshot (i actually want them to take a bit of damage before they die)

no missions that are too linear (give us freedom of approach like in IV)

- vehicles based off of concept ones.

- too many super/sports cars. It's Grand Theft Auto, not f*cking NFS.

- Karen Daniels (sue me).

- EDM/modern dubstep/trap radio station (sue me x2).

- jetpack, UFO's, and all that silly stuff.

- GTA Online (sue me x3).

No dumbed-down wanted level system. Bring back the 6-star system. (I mean really, why couldn't there be six stars when there's a freaking military base in V?)

Car spawn system in V is ridiculous - make it more like IV next time.

That is all.

I don't want wheeling a motorcycle to give you higher top speed or better acceleration.

I don't want supercars to be better off-road than actual off-road vehicles.

I don't want driving on the sidewalks to give you an acceleration boost.

-short story (Under 100 missions)

-repetitive missions

-places that don't function the way you see irl, like in IV nobody is playing basketball in any basketball court,

except Roman, before he got some goons harrassing him.

And Nico doesn't, although Nico is from a country where basically everyone plays basketball.

-invisible walls that don't make sense like in VC where your plane starts to dive when you reach the edge

-unclimbable hills or mountains like III

-places you see, but are not able to visit like observatory or lighthouse in III

-not being able to swim, like III and VC

-not being able to climb, like III and VC

-not being able to kneel, like III and V

-not being able to sneak, like III, VC, and IV
