G3T STR4F3D
Overview: This stunt takes practice and isn't easy to do, but eventually you can learn this and even master it. You may be thinking, "What? A jet can't possibly fly backwards when it's meant to thrust forward!" right now. Here's how it works: By losing airspeed at a vertical angle, eventually you can use that loss of momentum combined with maneuverability and the falling weight of the jet to go into reverse flight. Steps: Get a jet. I recommend starting off with the Hydra, as its tendency to lose airspeed when flying straight up and its weight will help. Fly straight up into the air as close to 90 degrees as you can, use the backwards camera Rapidly tap the brake button (LT/L2) to lose airspeed quickly You should shortly hear a beeping sign, which indicates that you're losing too much airspeed and about to stall your jet The jet should stop in the air, and then start falling with the nose pointed upwards. Immediately use the analog stick to keep the jet falling straight down The jet should eventually start turning itself to one side. Use RB/R1 or LB/L1 to catch the sway, depending on which side it goes to Keep doing this, and if it's about to stop going backwards then use the analog stick to rotate the jet back to a position, then pull up. This should put it's nose facing back up, where it will fall again. When to use it:Dogfighting When your opponent is stalling, you'll need this technique to slow down and beat them at their own game Defensive stalling - After you merge in a dogfight you can fly backwards, and attempt to strafe them with the cannons while they are in a loop Stunting - With mastery of reverse flight, you can do some really cool things with it. Some examples are landing a plane backwards, and flying through/under something backwards References/guides/examples: My example: Tonski's guide: Another guide: Tips: Do NOT use cinematic to stall, it will not help Don't use your landing gear, it does create drag to slow you down but also impairs your maneuverability. Using it during reverse flight will flip your jet around, and you will probably crash. If you're going to use them, only do it to help you stall, and retract them as soon as it starts falling. Always straighten out before going for a reverse flught attempt Edited May 9, 2016 by chase623hiltz No Homing, chef_archie and Hunter

G3T STR4F3D
Props, I can't seem to do it at all Yeah, it takes lots of practice. Even try with the Titan. The heavier it is; the easier it is to put into reverse flight. Then you can work your way to the Hydra, and eventually the Lazer. Creme_Brulee
I've read about this before, tried it once with the Hydra but it was a different method which didn't work. I doubt I'll remember to try this, but I'd like to learn flying backwards.

Fly backwards very fast in hover mode, then activate flight mode and pull the analog stick back.

Btw, I don't know if you mentioned it in the OP, but when the plane is already flying backwards, do you keep on braking or you don't even touch the R2 or the L2 button? To my knowledge the engine will cut off if you do that, and your jet will just fall. That's why instead of cutting your engine to stall, you just lose the required amount of airspeed. l Marksman God l
Reverse flight is fun af, but I don't see a problem with the landing gear. I learned without it but I taught some of my friends with it and they had no problems. I'm still getting some reverse clips to make a montage Edited May 9, 2016 by l Marksman God l
sasuke78200
Maybe you should write a guide on how you gained 11 995 166 324$, I really want to know. Edited May 9, 2016 by sasuke78200

I'm still getting some reverse clips to make a montage It creates too much drag, and you should try to learn without them. If you went for a stall in a dogfight and used your landing gear, you'd fail. Maybe you should write a guide on how you gained 11 995 166 324$, I really want to know. I love getting reverse kills on dogfights, but I prefer a faster DFFaster dogfights are called speeding, and very slow ones are called stalling. Most pilots learn to speed, not stall. I was a speed pilot but now I learned to do stalls. Stalls are much more fun, but riskier. You can only do them in a really tight merge.
