VIP work needs a rebalance imo

I like VIP work and do it a lot but the pve stuff is too easy and too hard depending on type and location meaning I only do 3 of them. (f*ck stealing the rhino, f*ck stealing 4 quads)

 

Passives piss me off in piracy when they just camp the marker for 9 minutes

 

And it's nigh impossible to find VIPs in exec search when they're alone

Well regarding exec search, it can only be started with Bodyguards as far as I am aware, or is there something I didn't notice?

 

Other than that Piracy Prevention definately needs some kind of balance in regards to cover for the attackers, it is way to easy to spawn kill the attacks with snipers.

 

Regarding the PvE stuff, is there something I skipped?

Because I never had to steal 4 quads, but stealing the Rhino is quite a bit of fun in my opinion and doesn't need rebalance at all, especially if you play with Bodyguards since they can keep in Jets and defend from the air.

I don't think the PvE stuff needs rebalancing at all, all it needs is maybe some sort of different response, for example in new VIP Missions when you break in into Merryweathers offices Merryweather units could actualy follow you and try to kill you, with Insurgents, Valkyries etc.

Piracy prevention is the main one that's flawed (which is a shame, since it's also really fun when played properly).

 

Passive mode is the real scourge of it, though that sh*tty spawn point that the attackers get isn't very fair either. I mean, you either win the first time you get on the yacht, or you're doomed to be sniped. You're stuck on a big, wide open space, and (typically) all the helicopters are within homing launcher range, so them even being there is pointless.

 

Also, fix that BS where occasionally people respawn on your yacht.

 

And of course, I'd never turn down more attack vehicles. Some kind of heavily armoured boat/sub with weapons, a helicopter that's not a flying target (could be through buffing current ones, or bringing in a new one), maybe even some kind of artillery on the beach.

I think VIP work needs to have the exploits and stuff patched, but I think other than that, it's fine as is. VIP work only really gains you 30K or so, so I don't think it's really necessary to completely change anything other than that.

I disagree, asset recovery can get pretty fun especially if you have people coming after you.

I think it is important to have a full bodyguard team though, it can get pretty close and I have had on of my best experiences in GTA Online while doing Asset recovery after all.

 

I think the payout is fair as well, it takes about 8 minutes accross the map etc. and you get 28k if you deliver both cars, on top of that it's a blast to defend the cars against other players.

Exectuvie search -> In adversary mode "Extraction", there an application to find your VIP. It might be fun include the application in the VIP work.

Sightseer -> Could be more fun add some AI enemy's.

The only VIP work I do is Exec search, Assest Recovery Altruist and Sightseer and they are all solo and easy to complete without the use of ammo. Sometimes I will do Piracy Prevention when the lobby is 5 and under to minimize an overflow of attackers.

 

Working with bodyguards you don't know is like doing heists with randoms. Too unpredictable when you have a 4 hour time limit.

VIP Missions are meant to be played in a full Lobby with people attacking and huge firefight erupting....but if you prefer the boring "no ammo waste" option...to each his own...

if the cars are good, I agree, and only if there's 2

 

then 2 hydras can cover

^ Well if the cars are too fast the attackers cannot catch up, that's the whole point of having slower cars.

 

Also there is no Asset recovery with 4 cars.

and it's not the players, it's the combination of cops and players, and having to lose cops while getting attacked by players

Asset Recovery: Paleto has 4 Lectros, and Sandy Shores has 4 Blazers. (Well, up to 4 depending on the size of the organization starting it.) Technically not cars, though.

Quads sounds terrible but Lectros sounds super fun...

Problem is that Players don't chase you in Paleto Bay most of the time

OH MY GOD, YES PLEASE to the app thing. Then little dipsh*t bodyguards who don't understand "Back off! They can't see me on their maps but they can see YOU!" can't find you and stick to your ass like glue.......

 

 

Also, jets should just be banned from the Rhino Hostile Takeover and Asset Recovery and any VIP work. You could be at the goal, about to deliver and..... jet pussy comes out of nowhere and blows you all to Hell.

 

And fix Passive Mode so they can't turn it off on the yacht period. They just keep spawning on the yacht and make it harder for the defenders as he could spawn right behind them and also causes us to pay less attention to attackers.

And near Hostile Takeover too...... passive jet flying right behind me....... passive off BOOM package up on top of a mountain with no way to get up to it. Change sessions time.

 

 

Also, fix it so people CAN'T quit during work. If you can't fire somebody they shouldn't be allowed to quit! Somebody actually quit and won Piracy Prevention before recently -_-

The spawns need fixing. I did LSIA takeover and was just gonna drop off the briefcase. Jumped out a smoking heli and parachuted down. My bodyguard then killed a player following with car several blocks away causing him to respawn right next too the dropoff. He shot me while im still in air. I respawn, shot him, cops kill us. Took several minutes to grab case and run last 5 metres. This happened more then once. Both the teleporting and the way too close spawn. It sucks having to kill same player several times just grab something and go on.

 

Dont get me wrong, im all for action but this is more like comedy or parody.. :D

Anyone in passive mode in piracy prevention should either be forced to not participate at all, or are kicked out of passive mode as soon as they enter the Yacht's vicinity.

i usually only see two kinds of vip stuff going on in public lobbies.

 

1. a crew of jet pussy boys using ghost operation the entire time.

2. modded azzhat with invisible body hiding under the map during kill the vip.

Everything goes full circle and inevitably people start complaining about the best thing Rockstar implemented in GTA online since heists - adding a real zest to freemode along with the new freemode events.

 

Sure, the VIP events are not perfect, but this thread seems to be the by-product of having nothing new to do for over four months.

I think they're fine, I'd prefer longer vip hosting time and more jobs but the mechanics are fine imo.

Not realy true, because the amount of Cops that spawn has no influence on how the connection stability is.

 

If another player is nearby, no matter the amount of cops or NPCs being synced, and said Player has a good connection, there won't be any glitching and lagging...

The other way around, if a player with a bad connection is nearby, no matter the amount of cops or NPCs, there will be glitching and lagging.

Bandwidth wise, there shouldn't be any problems with stuff like that.

And have them f*cking chill around the briefcase. If you die at any time, a f*cking swarm literally forms around the case and makes it a pain to get. I literally have to run away and abandon my team to call my Kuruma out of storage and use it just to ram it and grab it to end the mission.

 

And let's not get started on how much of a pain in the ass the cops are in LSIA

BROOOO here we go again. You are in fact WRONG. My friend and I both run off fiber optic Internet. We don't lag on any game but GTA - we did asset recovery in an INVITE only session and it was glitching. Cops were in front then back behind us - they were spinning out themselves. The game cannot handle that many cops period. The same reason the lobby splits when there's 30 people.

Large amounts of AI characters, vehicles, explosions, etc. will slow the game down and affect performance.

 

You can notice it especially when you get attacked by a jet/Savage/other explosive thing.

In that case you both either have limited Bandwidth, or you both lag out no matter the amount of Cops on screen.

Game performance, not network performance, as I said if enough Bandwidth is availeable, this being the cause of something is literally impossible.
