This is both something that suits free mode warriors such as myself, and something that requires money. I've been doing this for a long time myself but today I was wondering if anyone on this forum does it so there's a poll for data collection.

I keep 2 of my favourite vehicle, because as we all know the police really like to impound players' vehicles right?

So.. by having 2, when your PV gets impounded by the police, you just call the mechanic and order your second one. The impounded car gets destroyed and you are free to call Mors without being smited by the obligatory traveling to the police impound OR the ordering of an undesired vehicle just to get your desired car out of the impound followed by then having to wait for the mechanic cooldown before you can get your desired vehicle delivered to you again.

I do it with the Insurgent, if I am killed and the police take my Insurgent, when I respawn I can always have a fresh Insurgent delivered to me immediately and get right back into the action calling Mors as I drive! This is more useful the further you are from the police impound at the time of your vehicle being impounded.

To be clear, yes I know 'everyone' knows about this it's not rocket science, I explained it because not everyone is guarunteed to know (new players etc) and someone would ask, the point of the thread is to see who actually is willing to pay for the convenience and give up a garage slot.

No option for "I don't want to waste a garage space by having two of the same vehicle".

My car rarely gets impounded because I take the EWO often.

I've got 2 of a few bikes, purely because of this. It's more habit than anything else now, though, as I often go and take my bike back when it gets impounded. If the player or players I was fighting with at the time decide to follow me then that just adds to the challenge and increases the fun.

Start a mission and walk into the impound lot for free...exit mission or complete it. What is it 2013 again?

GAUNTLET HELLFIRE

When I'm fighting someone and my PV gets impounded I never bother getting it back I just stay on foot or steal a car. Getting it back for free during a freeroam event doesn't work once when my Faction was impounded I jumped into the impound lot after blowing up my tank with seconds to go on criminal damage grabbed my Faction and returned it to my garage when I logged on the next day it was destroyed and I had to pay to get it back.

The most expensive insurance cost is $27,500. Are you really that poor in a game that's been out for over 2 years OP?

Nah, for some reason it bothers me to own 2 of the same vehicles. Even if in different garages, even if in different characters.

Instead, as a car collector, I have plenty of cars with different characteristics, so if one gets taken by the cops I can call for another that's similar to the one I got taken. There's a lot of cars I like in the game, so why not instead of wasting money in 2 of the same, getting multiple ones with similar specs?

Also, although I have my favourite car (Sultan RS ftw) half the time I drive other cars I also really like, I can't stick to just one.

What? I have to pay the insurance every time doing this and yes I can afford it, the point of this method is to save time in exchange for money.

Despite having five garages, I can't justify more than one of the same car. I'd just think on my feet if the car was impounded. It's a pain in the ass having to grab passing vehicles sometimes but that brief frustration isn't enough for me to need a duplicate.

I usually just get another of my cars delivered, use that for the next five minutes until the Mechanic is available again and just accept the insurance cost. One good thing about driving a lot of Sedans and Muscle class cars is that the insurance costs are ridiculously low.

So you just can't roll around in GTAO without an insurgent hey? I know your type LOL.

I use part of your method, just not the duplicate car part.

This needs a thread? This is a super common, super well known way to get your car without going for it. Figured this out on day one.

The thread is to see who actually does it, rather than to reveal something that everyone knows. I explained because at least someone perhaps a new player would not be aware of it, not everyone has been playing as long as us.

No I can't, I've been playing far too long to be dealing with laggy traffic and police driving into my path and slowing me down, the Insurgent just pushes them all out of the way and that is the reason I use the it all the time.

Can confirm I do this with two Banshees. Wouldn't say that this is a work around for rich players, mostly for lazy players. The Rancher is like $120, many others that I forgot are easily under $500 which you can get by robbing stores or doing Blow Up by Simeon as quickly as possible (up to 7-9K last time I did it, ages ago though). I do this and I'm a poor player by GTA:O standards. Sure, it stacks up when you destroy a car that's 6K and up (some are way up there, too) but how often do you destroy/impound your favorite car that you have to get a 2nd copy of it? :/

Are they 100% identical? Because my Banshees are not. That would just be too weird and something a rich player would do.

When I say rich it is due to the purchase cost of the extra vehicle which could be 2.2m if you are a T20 user.

Holy f*cking sh*t I've seen spoiler tags used correctly before but this one beats it by a mile. A green, white, pink, blue and every other color you have in that garage mile.

Also, that is the most GTA pic ever: armored cars in a white garage with invites for the newest Adversary Mode as well as an RPG vs X game mode.

I am rather fond of the screenshot.

RPG vs bikes/insurgent are a great time with friends for sure.

I just go to the impound and repo my car back from the police. Screw paying to get a car back from the people who stole it.
