Low end mod crash

I used OpenIV to intsall low-end mod and now I can't start the game because it crashes about 50 seconds into loading screen. I googled open iv crash and I didn't find anything that would solve the problem.

 

Could downloading and installing an older version of the mod help (because I've got an older patch, not the latest game update)? But as I understand the low end mod doesn't require a particular game version, if it did it would have been noted somewhere in readme file.
