I honestly stopped playing GTA V all together since they do not let you transfer within the same generation (Xbox One to PS4), which is why I don't come on this site as often. PS3 to Xbox One, seeing my character on next gen in first person was awesome. Seeing all the interiors, cars, amazing. All the weapons was cool. But, PlayStation is my home and I wish this billion dollar company would let you transfer twice. My level 129 character is stuck on a console I do not like.

I still don't get how a company with so much money could have bad security...that is one of the reasons you can only transfer once is because they are scared of people bringing hacked money over to the current gen consoles.

Yeah, it's a sorry state of affairs to be honest. If they had simply kept last gen secure, then it wouldn't be an issue. Pretty sure dedicated servers are better for keeping a game cheater-free, but they cheaped out in that area.

 

I honestly think the modder infestation was the primary reason they left last gen behind - the state of the game was embarrassing. They couldn't (read: wouldn't) solve the cheater problem themselves, so just relied on the new consoles not being cracked yet.

 

Which is a shame, since they will inevitably get cracked. It's no substitute for just getting proper servers/security.

 

Back on topic, this should definitely happen in my opinion. I don't plan on switching console, but more freedom never hurts.

Make a ticket on their support page asking you been reset to lvl 1 or something (make it believable)

 

Then they would probably say your account has been restored or something like that.

 

Say you lost items,cars,etc and ask for a migration rollback.

I thought I wasn't going to get a PS4. And I was desperate to see my character on Next-Gen.

0 to 129 again shouldn't take forever, but I understand you'll be losing a lot of stuff in the process. Yeah, they should let you transfer across the same gen. Rockstar, they're the ultimate fun police.

Sorry for double post, but I had a lot of limited timed shirts, hats and stuff like the beer hat from around dec 2013-2014.

Its not a secret so...

I mean, why have you even transfered to xbox in the first place ?

Funny thing is, you can already do this, as often as you want. Don't even need a jailbroken console for it.

Blame the Modders and Script Kiddies for this, the reason we can't transfer any more IMHO (too easy to cheat on PS3 and move money over).

 

Consider it your punishment for ever going XBox in the first place. Lesson learned.
