What amendments could be made to make daily challenges better?

I find that dailies can be frustrating at times and I think they could be made better by a few simple inclusions.

 

First, have a counter to show people how many days they have done in a row.

 

Have an option to click that says you are actively pursuing daily challenges so that if you get near the end of a day or go to log off the game warns you that you have challenges left undone.

 

Last, have more detailed options in your phone. Need to do a capture hold? Allow us the option to select that.

 

I just lost a 28 day streak and rockstar told me I didn't do challenges on the 22nd. But I did. So I challenged them by saying if I hadn't done them on the 22nd I should have had 100k yesterday and didn't get it.

 

This is the third bonus dropped for me and my second 28 day bonus lost. I think they need to sort this out.

Limit the challenges to things you can do in free-mode only.

To begin, we shouldn't be asked to do specific types of captures, any capture should do. It's hard enough to find a capture going on, why make it harder and only make a specific type count? And hosting one yourself doesn't help much, as people don't usually join them.

 

There could be an alternative set of challenges, so if you don't like the first set, you can do the second one instead. Or simply have an option to be able to get a new set of challenges until you find one that suits you, but you should only be able to get 3 new sets a day. Although once you have already completed a challenge, you can't get a new set, just to avoid people from abusing it.

I'd like to see a few more daily objectives added to the game to add variety. Even if it is just boring simple things like taking a shower, using a telescope or watching TV it would give us a reason to visit our apartments. Ride the subway or perform a stealth kill on an npc could be another one. I'm also a bit surprised there isn't one for participate in a heist/heist setup as we have one of these participate objectives for most of the other modes like LTS, contact missions etc.

I'd like to see more things related to in-game tasks doable in almost any mode, rather than "Participate in a (insert activity here)". Those are fine when it comes to non-Rally races, but I do think everything should be doable by a player without having to recruit someone else to help. It would be nice to see more random free mode activities to do, for one.

 

And "Kill X_Number_of Players" really should go already.

But what I'd like to see is a checklist of items, in which you can pick three from the list. I doubt it would ever be included, but it would be nice.

That way, if you don't like Parachuting, you can choose something else; Don't like Deathmatches, choose something else.

Kind of like this:

• Compete in a Parachute Jump
• Participate a Survival
• Buy something at Ammu Nation
• Eat a Snack
• Steal a Tank

- run 10km on foot

- drink and waste all soda in 1 vending machine

- blew up the gas station and get killed while carrying jerry can

- survive an explosion

- get sliced by spinning propellor/rotor

- cause chain reaction explosion , at least 20 car in quick succession

- be a bad sport

- close all service in san andreas ( from market to LSC )

- survive in fort zancudo up to 1 hour

- spent $1.000.000

- buy deluxe luxor , deluxe swift , T20 , hydra and aquarius yacht

Simple, limit Daily challenges to Free Mode only stuff AND:

Have an additional 4th Daily Challenge, which is "Play the currently Active Job"

Active Jobs are changed daily and are marked red on the top of the "Quick Job" menu.

 

That way, people could get full lobbies on R* Created LTS and Captures etc.

And additionally that would bring in some diversity as the "Active Job" changes every day.

I think it would be great if when you scroll over a DO that requires you to join a job you could click that DO and you would get the chance to host or join that specific type of job.

 

Also maybe an option for PVE only DOs. I know it would be kinda cheap to complete only the PvE ones but some players (like myself) just can't handle the poor matchmaking and connection issues that go along with PvP in this game. Maybe just lighten the reward if only PvE ones are chosen... idk, All I know is I don't bother with the current DOs because finding the right job and lasting a whole round is a job of its own. Just IMO.

For new-gen/PC they already made the biggest improvement: remove Tennis, Impromptu Race, and 1on1 DM

 

It's been said already, but make it ANY Capture mode, not any specific one

 

Suggested new ones:

-Steal a helicopter

-Get drunk (can be done without Deluxe aircraft, yachts, or residential property)

-Ride 1 mile on a bike

Wait.... they removed Tennis from the list? That is the best thing they could have removed! Waiting a long time to find a partner...... and have to lose on PURPOSE if you want to get it done fast. Not to mention if you're winning, the butthurt opponent will quit and it won't count.

Gang War is already an objective, or at least on Xbox 360/PS3. Never got it on Xbox One.

One of the most annoying is fly under a bridge during an air race, just NO. Rally race is just as bad.

 

I like the idea of a 'Refresh' list that some have mentioned, that might make me a bit more inclined to go for a 28 day run. I think my record is 3 days, lol. Really can't be fu*ked with some of them. When the game refuses to register the 'activity' as having been completed even though I've just completed it, I get really pis*sed off.

That's one of the easiest ones. It was even one of the glitch-repeatable objectives that you could keep getting the rewards for over and over.

• You don't need any other players
• The race's course does not have to take you under any bridge
• You don't even have to finish the race

You just have to start any air race (solo; or with others, if you want) and then fly under any of the 50 bridges you can fly under, using any air vehicle

Why do it the hard way? Stay in freeroam, get a 3-star wanted level, drive just far enough into a train/subway tunnel that they can't find you, wait until they give up, profit. Takes 3-4 minutes and most of that is just waiting for the flashing to stop. Easy to do with higher wanted-levels as well.

However, all the "Escape X wanted stars" can be glitchy, so it's best to always do those before doing anything else in a session. 95% glitch-less if you start with that one, 60% glitch-less if you do anything else first

I find that no one wants to do captures at all or death matches. If they are easy dailys which I can do myself Ill do them.

Being able to refresh the list. If there is a PvP objective like kill a revealed player or kill 20 players or participate in a deathmatch you can refresh the list and get 3 new objectives that don't have any PvP.

 

Make surviving a bounty count for collecting a bounty. Sometimes I get lucky and spawn in a lobby with someone that is afk that I can place a bounty on but most of the time the bounties are in jets or leave when you get too close or leave as soon as they get a bounty.

 

Get rid of normal DM and TDM and just make it a deathmatch. Whenever I go on call for a DM I always change my quick job options to R* created only and 95% of the time it's a TDM and it doesn't even tell me what sort of DM I'm on call for. Whenever I get a normal DM I have to change my options to user created and do one of those stupid trap DM and just melee kill people until someone gets the weapons and I leave.

 

Add some different objectives like

participate in a heist setup

participate in a heist finale

participate in a freeroam event

survive for a certain amount of time with a wanted level

drive for a certain amount of time without crashing

fly for a certain amount of time without crashing

kill a certain amount of cops

kill a certain amount of noose

kill a certain amount of gang members

kill a certain amount of npcs using only a melee weapon

blow up a police helicopter

steal a police riot van

make a certain amount of money

use a Lester service

use a merryweather service

I haven't tried it but a friend said that if you don't start your dailies and change sessions it changes the dailies. I'll try it tomorrow and post if it works.

 

Be handy to get rid of some of the harder to get ones.
