Wait, so, nobody has ever done this before with any kind of car? Mowing down pedestrians on the sidewalk is one of my favourite past times when I get really bored.

Go to the beach and start driving back and forth on the sidewalk. Endless joy.

Ahh yes, that is one of my favorite area's to people bowl.

You can do a lot of things with a Panto ! My friends gets any vehicle they want, i get my panto and they chase me around on the map ! As the Panto can go anywhere because she's so small, it ends up in some funny stuff. Good times !

Uncle Sikee Atric

Finally.... A chance to use mods to improve the SP experience, when the car cannon actually lets you play this for real!

Time to add a custom adversary mode using that car cannon!

So, I went ahead and made a quick Capture game. It's not exactly what I was thinking of, but you basically start out with two teams (max 4) and whichever gets six suitcases back to base wins.

The trick is, you get one Insurgent and need to get past a small field of Pantos, psycho killer clowns, bat-wielding prostitutes, murderous housemaids, and insidious Epsilon girls.

If anyone has any ideas on how to put together another type of game, similar to this (a race, deathmatch, etc) or to improve on this one, I'm all ears!

Thanks and cheers!

Speaking of fun things to do with the Panto, this will never get old...

I've always tried playing Panto Pinball by smashing a Panto around with multiple Insurgents or Liberators, and I also think it would be a perfect car to play soccer with those large yellow balls on top of the roadside stores in Sandry Shores, ala Top Gear Reliant Robin Soccer.

This.

When activities like this a year ago would've never been thought of, now we're so desperate for engaging content the only thing left is creative imagination.

Yup. We're in a major lull.

This is how you know gtao is dying

Perhaps "dying" is a bit dramatic, but I certainly agree the routine has pretty much become novelty to most veteran players.

I went back into GTA IV a short while ago, thinking, it will be fun to play for a while then come back to GTAV.

I lasted about an hour before getting out again. Ironically, the GTAIV Multiplayer had the same toolbag level 10's running the show as the last time I played, years ago.

The same guys driving around the airport in modded vehicles, dropping massive ramps in front of me while I tried to get by.

The races were hysterical, and I was surprised how much of the tracks I remembered... subtle turns, crash points, etc.

However, I was so frustrated at the handling and feel of the cars, as it doesn't compare to GTAV.

Point is, it's easy to look at what we've got in our hands and say it's grown old.

But until you look back where it all came from, you don't know how good what's in our hands really, truly is!

Just saying, is all. :)

I hear ya. :)

I wouldn't have used the word dying either. Instead, I'd have chosen neglected by the developer. I agreed with the spirit of thefablife's comment though. Irregardless, your points are well taken about going to GTA IV and coming back to GTA V and GTA:O. I recently did this as well. M$ gave me a freebie xbox live for a month, so I fired up the 360 for the first time in a few months and used it. I've revisited GTA IV multiplayer and GTA IV Lost and the Damned multiplayer. I needed a QUB3D fix, lol.

Yes, I ran into modders and that annoyingly teleport you from wherever you are to the airport so you can see what they've spawned. I even had some choice words for one who didn't get it after I left TWICE. He acted surprised I was annoyed. Some things never change. At least on GTA IV:LATD multiplayer NO ONE was playing it. So I had the multiplayer map to myself.

You're so right about the vehicle controls in IV. Awful. Completely awful in comparison to GTA V. I kept thinking 'is my controlled FUBAR'd?' when rolling around in IV.

There is no doubt GTA V and the map creation is a masterpiece. To that you are spot on. It's just so perplexing that with all the money they rake in off the microtransactions they aren't generating high end content for this game on a consistent basis. If I had bought shark cards in 2016, I'd be pissed that the money I spent seems to be going other places other than GTA. I described this situation as toxic in some other posts to the GTA franchise. They don't have do much of anything at all really, and the microtransactions keep rolling in. People want things and buy cash cards even if no DLC is present. There's no incentive to spend resources or energy on topnotch DLC creation when the money comes no matter what.

I'm glad more see the destruction microtransactions and their legacy are altering the franchise and the creation behind it for the worse.

The business model Rockstar & TakeTwo put forth was revolutionary and had the capacity to change gaming, across the entire landscape, for good.

But, in my opinion, they ruined the opportunity by making things in the game ridiculously out of proportion and forcing players to grind, buy cards, or cheat to get money.

I bought Shark Cards (two, maybe three) early on, because I believed in the business model and wanted to be a legitimate part of that gaming revolution.

But to soon see kids rolling around with billions of glitched money, I finally said no... never again.

I was happy to spend my real money, because it was paying for my entertainment. I didn't expect it would go to things like, "Rockstar takes aim at cheaters!" and cheap costume DLCs.

My hope is that with the next update to the game, they will put all that legitimate money – that "support" – to some really good, creative content that will make die-hard users drool and skip work to play.

Based on the more recent releases, between Low Riders and Yachts, I don't see it happening, but it could.

What's more curious to me is to see how the implementation of this entire microtransaction business model will play out for the future of the franchise.

If/when GTAVI comes out, how will they handle that? A pay-to-play subscription service instead of transactions? who knows?

For now, I'm just going to enjoy what I have and not think to hard about the money aspect, as it's not an issue for me.

I'm going to roll my Panto over NPCs as often as I can and shout, "Strike!" while fondly thinking of this thread.

Cheers! :)

Indeed!

If anybody's on PS4, I found a couple fun Panto as ball race jobs made by someone, really fun. I think they are called Canons à Panto and Extra Ball if you want to search for them in Social Club. They use the windmills to launch Panto.

Revisiting an old thread, as I've been out Panto Bowling a lot lately, and having a laugh-riot doing it, too!

"Sorry, Officer Beltgrabber, their pants made my Panto go wild. There's was nothing I could do!"

One of those NPCs that shouts out some offensive comment, not expecting to be used as a Panto Bowling pin!

Smooth Longsack

The panto is one of the only vehicles I know of that can reliably do front flips with very little airtime. Seriously; front flips for days.

Ah yes, the thread wasn't complete until someone had to come in and bitch about other people trying to enjoy the game in different ways.

Congrats man, you did it.

Reminds me of the Panto Basketball capture. Had a blast playing that with friends. Was hilarious too

A little song with rhymes, I call The Green Pantos

"Ten green Pantos sitting on a wall. Along came an Insurgent a smashed into them all.

One green panto landed on a ped, he's flat as a pancake, he's obviously dead.

Two green pantos went high into the sky. They'll probably land on some poor ol' sod and he'll probably die.

Another two green pantos went straight into a lake... Well they were wasted, oh for f*ck sake.

One green panto got smashed to bits. It went directly into some kiddies, who cares they're little sh*ts.

The other six green pantos, I don't know what happened to them. But what the heck I had some fun and I'm definitely doing it again."

Thank you, thank you. *bows*

So, running people over then.

This forum really is scraping the barrel now. You actually can make threads about anything.

No, @sleepwalk1980, it's not just "running people over."

It's running people over with a strategically complex methodology that is fixated on a specific directive.

As for "making threads about anything," well, if it's GTAO related, um... yeah. That's kind of the point of a forum.

Maybe have some fun and, well, perhaps lighten up, Francis.

Cheers! :)

I still enjoy GTA but fail to see the point in making a thread about running people over with a Panto.

GTA has let you run people over since GTA 1. Maybe people can now make Brioso Bowling threads, or Tampa Ten Pin Bowling, or or...

Perhaps my sarcasm was misguided but the quality of thread in this forum has dropped severely. But I don't have any better threads to make so maybe I'm just playing devil's advocate.

I do love Pantos though. Fully maxed out they're a beast.

There's a simple forum rule of etiquette that most people simply understand:

If you don't like a thread topic, don't reply.

Instead of derailing someone else's effort in presenting fun content, maybe you could deliver your own.

You didn't fail to see the point of this thread, you failed to see the humor in it. A silly, moment of levity from everyday real life.

If this thread bugs you this much, then I only imagine what bugs you at work/school/home/in traffic.

Please revisit the video clip I posted above, and please, lighten up, Francis.

I don't want my thread locked because one person decides HE doesn't like it. :p
