I've always found it quite ironic that with a game that is centred around crime and realism that hacking/glitching comes with such hefty penalties, such as bans and that you can't do things like give a friend a car or gun or even a pad as a gift.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking to unpatch everything at all but let me tell you the most fun I ever had in GTA was being part of a ridiculous manhunt for a multi billion dollar bounty. Fast cars, helicopters, rockets, explosions and one person frantically trying to avoid being killed whilst I had the best view in my own heli.

I think the economic system of the game is probably the most controlled and balanced it has ever been however, since when has a city that is almost 100% crime driven been balanced and controlled.

The feeling of genius when you place your whole bank balance on the stock market in single player to earn billions was epic. Shame nothing like that was available online. Clever ways of earning more money that don't include glitching or repetitive mission spamming.

There's so many things to buy now, cars to upgrade, appartments, yachts etc etc and the only viable way of getting this stuff without months of playing is through CMM, which by the way is easier than finding a crew to do it in the first place let alone a crew that has the time and the skill, I find myself thinking. Is it worth it.

I'll get a sense of achievement but I'll be bored of that stuff in a few days.

I'm happy the way the game is however I did enjoy the good old days more. Money should be a little bit easier to get so that we can at least be buying new things every couple sessions at most.

I waste so much time loading in and out of missions sometimes it's an hour before I even make any half decent wedge.

Grinding, that's what people call it. A word commonly associated with fun... Not unless it's some girl sitting on my lap.

GTA took a wrong turn somewhere I'm sure. By rights the game should be busier than it is even this far down the line. GTA has a weakness and I'm not sure if it's the actual missions themselves that they aren't exciting or earning money is slow and gruelling or lobbies are generally poor or even something else.

Rockstar, please find out what this is and patch it please because Los Santos and Blaine County is beautiful.

The issue is you are not playing the game right,

stop playing missions and start playing Free Mode Events/VIP Missions.

-> good payouts

-> engaging PvP, stuff like that happens as well at times:

was being part of a ridiculous manhunt [...].Fast cars, helicopters, rockets, explosions and one person frantically trying to avoid being killed whilst I had the best view in my own heli.

Money glitches along with million dollar bounties are what ruined GTA Online back in the days and I am f*cking glad they are gone for good now.

Also you have

-> PvE in VIP Missions and some Free Mode Events, which is a hell of a lot better than most missions since it is actualy dynamic with other Players interferring at times.

-> NO LOBBIES, NO LOADING SCREENS, just Free Mode straight up...

There's too much grinding sure, but this whole "GTA is about crime, so we should cheat" argument is pretty weak in my opinion.

I agree that some of the things that we aren't allowed to do is ridiculous but it comes down to whether or not it's beneficial for rockstar, if we can make money as easy as we can in sp then no money from shark cards which means no dlc.

It's not an argument about bringing back cheating. I even said that I don't want them to unpatch everything. I don't want billion dollar bounties but something that equals that excitement. Frankly entire lobbies would drop everything, got out their best gear and went to town when that happened.

I'm gonna give these VIP Missions a go tonight for sure.

At the end of the day I just want a good experience online. Out of 3 weeks of playing, I eventually found 3 other people who stuck out PS from all the setups to the heist and that was awesome.

I'll be lucky if that happens again in the next 3 weeks.

For every 10 heists/setups I join I probably end up playing 1. For every 5 I play, I probably finish 2.

That's a ton of chill out xbox time for very little.

Let's have a Pacific Rim DLC that pays out high for taking down class 1 to 5 Kaiju lmao. That's a joke but how epic would it be plus the whole lobby could get involved. Tanks, helis, jets. and maybe even some Jaegers.

Problem solved :)

You need to build a time machine and go back to the beginning. I believe you have a few months before R*/take2 nerf everything.

Good luck!

Good luck!

With a "Time Machine" he couldn't travel through the time without becoming a paradox.

What he needs is something to switch between universes.

Because I am sure in another Universe, R* was not succesfull with GTA Online and simply left it for the modders...

And in a completely different Universe The Benz was appointed Lead Developer of Rockstar Games while the Houser brothers left the company, making GTA Online with Dedicated Servers and R*s main focus Leslie would lead the GTA brand.

And in ANOTHER universe this Forum wouldn't even exist because its owner got arrested for drug abuse while establishing it, without this Forum GTA would not have a "fan" community gathering and everyone would play their game in peace without talking about it...

While crime may be allowed in GTA it's not allowed in reality. How much trouble do you think you would you be in if you stole thousands of dollars from a local store? It's not going to be as light as a ban in game. As GTA$ is sold for real money of course cheating/hacking/modding in cash will get you in trouble.

How about just be glad all you might get is a ban. What would you do if you hacked money in and got charged for stealing from R*/TT?

I will still report anyone I see hacking/modding/cheating. Just play the game money is easy to get.

This is a game which requires you to build up a steady repertoire of players you can call on to play with in order to get the full experience. Whether this means coercing real world or other gaming friends into playing, hitting up random people in GTAO as much as you can, or going online to a community like GTAF or some other group, you really do need to have enough people to play with whenever you are online because almost everything is always better with friends.

Heists are much less frustrating and more rewarding.

VIP work is much more dynamic.

Contact Missions can be done in whole new ways.

Some vehicles require other players to really enjoy them (eg. Valkyrie, Insurgent Pickup).

Adversary modes that normally suck can actually be fun when played in a nonsensical way.

Free mode can be used to do almost anything you can think of.

Have I missed something?

you rustled the gta morality-police's jimmys when you mentioned glitching.

I usually just get a giggle out of them and move on.

Ha. Yeah I need at least regular online pals. I got my mate from work to buy it for £27.50 so that's one at least.

I'll be online later looking to make cash if anyone's playing.

I'm mostly riding solo. I think that's part of the issue.
