Leat
Absolutely loving how it looks - gritty, dark and bloody. The HUD looks clean and uncluttered but what the hell is up with that announcer? Have team mates shout out that stuff. It sounds so out of place and breaks immersion. Also Snoop Dawg smoking on the live stream. No f*cks given. Edited June 12, 2016 by Leat donnits and PoeticWhisper
RedDagger
It's funny how on gameplay videos if people say that they'll pass it up/they don't like it, they get barraged with people saying "it's pre alpha you can't complain" Can't believe people are still defending it with that sh*t, but guess that's what happens when people put so much hype and faith into a game based off of graphics and setting alone Niobium
Anotic
the in-game caller needs to be re-done, ruins the immersion when some crystal clear "the enemy is capturing objective C" spoken by a female comes through. should be yelled out over a radio as it has been previously... Spider-Vice
The UI is literally Battlefront's tho. It's probably still going to get changed, the game looked to be a really early build here. Colour me interested though, curious about how they'll handle the campaign. Usual soldiers did not carry radios as visible by their uniforms. It would make no sense. EA went around this problem by having that announcer, but it didn't work out that well. The UI is literally Battlefront's tho. It's probably still going to get changed, the game looked to be a really early build here. Colour me interested though, curious about how they'll handle the campaign. Yeah, the UI is really reminiscent of Battlefront, but it gets the job done and doesn't take up half of the screen. Game definitely needs more polish. Some of the tank entering animations looked glitchy. Edited June 12, 2016 by Leat
Spider-Vice
There were a lot of glitches in the preview, the game definitely needs loads of polish still. ClaudeSpeed1911
This looks like Bad Company 2 WW1 which is what I wanted. Will be the first BF I buy since BC2.
donnits
You know a game is everything you wanted when my only complaint is the announcer. Seriously, why is it all calm robotic and generic? Hopefully a placeholder. I want some yelling and accents and sh*t. f*cking awesome looking game, and that was only one map with a few guns on one mode. I really can't wait. PoeticWhisper
Destruction looks insane. Graphics look incredible.Entering and Exiting animations on vehicles.Lots of blood.Bayonet charges look brutal af.You can pilot the airship. You can drop bombs and shoot with the planes, (reminds me of BF1943)Game actually looks dark and gritty. The weather can change dynamically, thank god, gone are the days of static weather. This is awesome.Weapons look really cool, and no more stupid lock on weapons. The Respawn screen is really cool.Syringes look nasty, but awesome.Glad that you don't go into 3rd person when you die anymore. I didn't like that about BF4. You would stay in FPV until you got shot to death then you'd see your body ragdoll. I like seeing my body hit the ground. The melee looks nasty. This is just 1 map with limited weapons and a 15 minute conquest round. It does remind me a lot of BC2. I am so excited. donnits
Entering and Exiting animations on vehicles. Surprising, but really awesome touch. Bayonet charges look brutal af. I absolutely love this. I can only imagine a gunfight where someone runs out of ammo, and the other guy charges him with a bayonet, yelling "arrghhhhh!". So sick. Lots of blood. Game actually looks dark and gritty. I really like the color scheme. Very similar to the movie Fury, which wasn't the greatest WW2 movie, but the bleak feeling and color scheme it has was really good. I'm not entirely sure if they're going to capture a true dark and gritty feel yet, but as it stands, it's looking to be very violent. PoeticWhisper
Taken from the "modes" section of Battlefield's website. This sounds like the proper trench warfare people want. I really like the idea of the game continuing on different maps. OPERATIONSOperations is a completely new way to experienceBattlefield multiplayer, giving you the opportunity to fight on an entire front of the Great War. In a sequence of inter-connected battles, a team of attackers attempts to conquer ground and push the frontline forward, as the defenders are trying to push them back. Should the defenders fail to hold their ground on a map, the Operation doesn’t stop here: they will fall back and regroup on a different map, while the attackers will push the assault. Sectors may fall, but players reinforced by gigantic Behemoths can still turn the tide. HaythamKenway

Richard Power Colt
Looks more or less what I expected from a new BF game in WW1. I saw someone say in youtube comments how they wanted it to be more slow-paced or something. They obviously weren't gonna make huge changes to the feel of the gameplay, it's still Battlefield. What I'm personally most excited about in the game is the apparently added amount of destruction and the fact that you can control huge vehicles like the Blimp and the Battleships which haven't been useable in BF since the very first game. FullMetal
This looks tight AF. No doubt about that. Now we only have to wait and see how long and good the campaign is. Dice CAN make videogames. But they somehow fail to make a worthwhile singleplayer campaign. Always great ideas/good concepts but poorly worked out and a story that never reaches its full potential because they don't put enough time/focus and or money on it.Multiplayer? Looks f*cking epic. Graphically outstanding, the whole scale is indeed out of this world. The whole 'look and feel' of the game really gives you the vibe they are going for: the first 'mechanized' and 'modern' all out industrialized warfare. It already makes me crave for Dice revisiting WW2!My personal worries? Although they have (and in a way have) to take creative liberties with weapon attachements focus on 'all weapons' instead of having 70% bolt action rifles, instead of having nation specific loadouts (which I still think should be possible though and should be back in these AAA FPS games) everything looks convincing. This screams HYPE and I cannot wait to get my hands on with this. Also f*ck that female announcer. It needs a older deep male voice shouting and screaming bloody murder. The Battlefront thread here is a prime example. How'd that work out for you guys, anyways? I'd try to ask in a more suitable forum, except I can't find anyone who still plays it. Anyways, I was afraid I'd have to eat my words and buy at launch, but latter videos are making this look like a typical Dice hot mess. Sure, it looks good, but that's about the extent of it. They've also already confirmed "macro" and "micro" transactions are involved in a big way, too, so enjoy "premium's" return.

I see you neglected to explain away the failures of Battlefront and Hardline, though. I'll give you the standard DDF on the latter, "Oh, that was Visceral's doing, not DICE!" So, yeah... "Bring on premium baybee," be careful what you wish for your may just end up with half a game at $70 like Battlefront, and by the time your "premium" DLCs arrive you may find yourself looking for anyone who still plays (BFH players, when not blaming Visceral, can weigh in on that). As a converted Dice hater (thank you, Battlefield 4), it takes alot for me to get excited. The launch trailer was enough to rattle me, "well, this actually looks like it could be interesting" but other than being really pretty and ear candy, I'm not really convinced this isn't just a dumbing-down of classic BF with meaningless "gun tweaks" like every gun ever having a little reticle to look through, or everyone being armed with automatic weaponry. This'll be $30 by Black Friday, and I'll probably consider it then.. but as it is now, I'm not feeling the urge to buy it on launch week over my overwhelming feelings of doubt and faith in DICEA in f*cking this up completely and utterly. And pre-ordering? You're nuts. They even had their chance to make so much fabulous good will by adopting a monetization style akin to Overwatch: Maps for free, everything else for cash. As long as the everything else isn't pay-to-win, that would've been fine. Nope. They've doubled down on Premium when the tide has turned against their competition in COD and they had the chance to issue a coup d'grace and come out the moral, if not gameplay, victor. But EA gotta EA, and DICE is a wholly owned subsidary so they'll go lockstep into the sh*tter together happily splitting the player base in map packs that include grafted on sh*t game modes so they don't technically break DICE's notorious promise of "we'll never change for map packs." I ain't gonna tell you to like the game. Opinions are opinions. Here's the thing though, this is a Battlefield game, not a Star Wars IP DICE needed to rush out the door to be on time with a movie release. It's shallow because they had to make it so, it's very streamlined so everyone can pick it up, the name sells itself. Battlefield is DICE's baby, this is what made them. And from what I've seen of the gameplay and the trailers, it's every bit as awesome as I was hoping for. I wasn't even too sold on BF Hardline, I thought the concept was cool but it didn't look quite right to me. I want a real Battlefield that feels gritty and dirty like a real war. And this looks like it provides it. I bought premium for BF4, and I downloaded every single DLC for BF3 separate. I'm gonna be fine, and even if not that's my fault. But I don't see this bombing. I'm very excited for it, and I can't wait to play it. Edited June 13, 2016 by PoeticWhisper
