Hackers attacking my PC now?

Here recently I have been beset by constant attacks while in game of Hackers/Modders, and this in almost every open session. I have sufficient Ram, VRAM and CPU to run this game however now while in game and only in GTA I've been seeing my PC just shut down, not a screen freeze or lock-up just shut off. I have a new Power supply so there's no reason to suspect equipment failure, so I have to wonder is it hackers in game? Have they found a way into my PC through a port? For those of you old enough to remember this was a way into someones rig in the old days. These guys in game who regularly are griefing other players through mods are heinous to say the least but up till now it seemed just a major annoyance but now it's rather concerning that it has become malicious. Modding may be really cool to some but most of the time it's just cheating, and if you call them out they call you a crybaby in chat and think they are superior players, last night a fellow crew member attacked me and immediately upon respawning I had fire hydrant water following me everywhere. I bitched about it and immediately my PC shut down I thought he was hacking, but after watching the replay I realized that there was a lag spike and it only looked like he did something suspicious, but still it's a huge problem. Sure I grief people occasionally with Sniper kills and Buzzard attacks but I don't cheat, if they get me back fine I'm not angry but the game is on and it's all good fun till some cheater uses a hack to blow me up or spawn sh*t on me. I've been playing since Rainbow 6, we had cheaters back then too. Software then had anti-cheat programs like Punkbuster. It seems to me that Rockstar either dropped the ball on security or they just didn't write this program with the idea that people would break in and muck around in the code. I record every session now and I have a lot of people recorded discussing hacks in chat, those people seen using hacks and they don't care in the least about it. I paid out $100+ buying this game and a copy for a friend and I feel Rockstar owes me and all the others who have given them money for this game an explanation as to why they can't or won't do anything about this. I'm not one of the entitled millennials, I'm an adult and I expect the Adults at RSG to hold up their end of the contract, like the one I have to agree to when I open up this game.

I only glanced over that that wall'o'text. Check your temps, post your specs, and lose the wall'o'text for a better chance at help.

I'd check your temps as well, there's the possibility that the person hacking spawns a lot of intensive objects, causing your game to lag and one of your components to overheat and shut down.

Yeah I thought that too, the vid card runs at about 44-48 and I cleaned the fans and cooling fins on the CPU, the newest glitch is it keeps starting with the calibration screen and telling me I have to do the prologue to play online though nothing else seems to have changed I haven't lost any progress in SP

Specs Win 7 - 64bit, Radeon R7 270 4Gb, 10 GB Gskill 1333mhz, Thermaltake 850 AMD AM3 Phenom II BE 3.1Ghz (I should be okay)

That sounds good. Have you tried verifying the game files?

Do you have a spare power supply you can use to test that? How old is the power supply? It might have a problem that is causing it not to supply as much power as it's supposed to.

The continual asking for calibration is a sign that a file may have been corrupted in the crash. I had something similar happen several months ago; the file I deleted (well renamed and let it re-create) was in Documents/Rockstar Games/GTA V/Profiles/xxx/pc_settings.bin.

Rename that to something else and try restarting. You may have to change a bunch of your settings at the start back to what you want them to be but it should save properly after that.

Yes I deleted that file and restarted and put in all my settings no change so far -edit- looks like that was the fix I changed all my settings again and they stayed in place the second time

So long way around to what I was originally thinking. Could someone hack there way in to corrupt that file or cause the problem externally? Although it's not particularly damaging it was quite annoying and just the kind of dick move that someone might find to cause the kind of grief that keeps on giving.
